Exactly this, although I now think Keane is better than him and we should try and sign him up this summer (after McGugan obviously ).
Interestingly, Chansiri's son Att is the reason that we have been taken over. Chansiri had no interest in football but bought us because his son loves it. Att has got an instagram account and has posted a picture of him and Will Keane titled "me and the best player at my team". Read into that what you will.

To be fair, no one has said Nuhiu is prolific or even good for that matter, all the time he has been considered the best of the fairly poor bunch that we currently have!
I love the fact that this is a father who has made a ton of money both off the family business but also by himself, and is doing this to please his son! This kid is going to be a Wednesday fan through and through as he grows up, and probably a future owner once he is old enough, but for now the pressure of being a good dad will work for me!!

MS, just my thoughts but if the fisherman spends money on the team first, and we reach the promised land, then the stadium could be refurbished without much(if any) cost to the owner, which to my mind would be the best way of doing things, build a team and they will come ..orsomething like that anyway !!

While I agree that getting to the prem is a priority over refurbishing the stadium, the problem is you want those improvements in place when you are in the prem, rather than doing them while you are there!! You are right, start challenging and the crowds will come, get promoted and they will definitely come in even greater numbers, but we have to be careful that we do not have parts of the ground closed when we get there, particularly as the law of averages states that we may only get one season up there first time around. I think the physical improvements to the ground, rather than cosmetic ones, will happen during or after next season, if at all. That way the goal for being in the prem in 2017/18 will see us there with an improved ground. The cosmetic changes, such as a scoreboard, better facilities, plasma tvs etc can take place now, in the off season or during the season and I am sure they will be ongoing for sometime hopefully, but ripping down the Leppings Lane end will take longer than just a close season, so needs to be planned very carefully.

the scoreboard is a bit more than just a cosmetic change. It's a business move which should have been made years ago

Yes it is but it is also movable if the Leppings Lane end is ever redeveloped. Not only should it have been done years ago, but it will become a nice little revenue earner and will pay for itself within a couple of years.

exactly. Man City make £1m a game on their screen, now, we'll make nowhere near that a game but it does show how much you can make if you have it in place

Shit, if we only make 10% of that we would recoup the money to install it in just 10 games!!!

Shrewsbury paid for their plasma screen with advertising within a year & now have a tidy revenue stream.
Brighton only had to put 20% towards the cost of their ground because American Expressed paid the rest for a ten year naming rights agreement.
Modernisation is self funding. Just need to stop the dire football.
