2025-26 suicide watch Sheffield Wednesday FC
To his defence a little we haven't crossed a ball into the box for 18 months either.
He thrived on that quick ball whipped Into the 6 yard spot Marvin lazy shit Johnson was the only player who could do this sometimes gassama and musaba. We've just bypassed this tactic with pederson ..yes the team is shit but he has players who can cross and whip in balls with the youngsters but the man's a clown .

Lastest rumour on Bannan is 400k is being offered by a host of clubs with Preston at the top of the list.
I don't think we can afford to keep him or pay his wages at this very moment and it would also let us build a team around other players in the future ..sell has tobe the go too surely !

We are in clear the decks which we actually can this summer and start again ..contracts like Ugbos need to be terminated yet more money lost but we have to start again from scratch and give ourselfs a future ...should the sale go through that is ?

Its a bad situation which is exacerbated by HP's lack of sauce.

He has the safest job in football management. Nobody expects a win, just a decent performance.
All he needs to do is be willing to change things.
The sideways and backwards, playing out from the back and passing ourselves into boxes is abysmal.

As for the kids, its okay to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. As this season goes on, the question can be asked.
Are they actually learning anything?

There learning how to play championship football which will make them even weaker next season in the pub league.

Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri, 20, is the subject of interest from Hibernian, while fellow Scottish side Rangers are keen on 28-year-old defender Max Lowe. (Edinburgh Evening News)

Cadamarteri can go for me. I know we're shite and the service is poor but I've not seen anything from him that makes me think he could be any good.

I'd like to keep Lowe if we can, possibly the only real defender we have.

Cooper will go along way in the pub league if we can keep him fit that is ? Cooper and weaver would be a good match ...still both are on the slab and we still need another 3 center backs depending on Bernard who's contracts up and he's also on the slab ..ffs I just give up we need a fuckin@ miracle allover the pitch !

It's looking unlikely that we'll be able to resign Redmond as it would require paying a wage.
We can only accept one more loan if the parent club is willing to accept all fees.

EFL are making it as painful as possible. We still have another 19 games to endure.

Rotherpigs are looking fooked, that might be one less tinpot Derby to.worry about.

"Beyond Alao’s likely departure to Chelsea, talismanic captain Barry Bannan is another potential exit and appeared to be emotional in leaving the pitch late on on Tuesday. As has been reported elsewhere, The Star understands Millwall to be his most likely destination as things stand if indeed he is to move on. It’s understood that there is tabled interest from a number of clubs in young forward Bailey Cadamarteri, while other players are also of interest elsewhere."

Sounds like admin will be selling one or more players to cover the possibility of the takeover collapsing or just costs in general.

This season is already a write off. Makes sense to me to sell players now who don’t want to be in L 1 and/or high earners who might leave for free in the summer. Adds to the rebuild funds assuming the EFL get their finger out. Also that article mentions the Rangers admin and I’m sure BT don’t want a fine down the road.

Whatever we think, the administrators have a duty to the creditors first and foremost. They have to prepare for the possibility of the deal not being done and therefore the continued running of the club. Until the EFL sign off they have to assume the worst.

There is part of me that would be sad about Bannan leaving but at the same time the rebuild we are about to do might be better to not be built around him. We need a completely fresh start and whether we like it or not that is what we are going to get. Bannan has served the club well and will rightly go down as a legend within the era he has played for us, but we have to move forward, so if we can get money for him we need to take it.
