I suspect that we will see his teeth in the summer.
Do you think PA should stay?? I really know little about him, what are your thoughts??
DC: We want to get Sheffield Wednesday back in the Premier League. Our aim is to celebrate the club's 150th anniversary in the PL.
That is a very bold statement but I think one he has to make. It sets a goal for him and the rest of the staff to be measured by, won't be easy but it is a worthy goal. So this means that we have to get promoted either this season (highly unlikely!!), next season 2015-16 or the season after 2016-17, that way we will be in the prem on September 4th 2017 as is his goal!!!
It gives him interesting flexibility over SG's future.
He can write off this season if he chooses or decide that SG is the wrong man for the job ahead. More likely, it gives him flexibility next season to sack SG because we need to be top six or to continue because it is only a stepping stone season.
This, and the use of the Club's history & heritage, mark him down as a smart cookie & manipulator.

I don't care if he's massively knowledgeable about football, just that he understands and respects our heritage whilst being able to run us properly with no backlash/surprises if he decides to call it a day

I have a good feeling we're safe with this bloke Thurny!
After Dave Richards, Allen, Uncle Fester, Lee Strafford and the likes, still wearing that dodgy Azerbaijani logo.. I really do have a much better feeling about this guy, I can't seem to find anything google searching him in the way of him being a crooked tyrant. Seems legit and above board, and many of us Owls have every right to feel jaded, post effects of the aforementioned have still resonated to this day.
He's also from a business background that advertises and promotes a product, surely this has to work in our favour, I expect him to roll out some promo's next season to boost season ticket and shirt sales.
As far as our heritage goes, it may or may not mean much to him at this current time, we can only speculate. If he doesn't care for it, then maybe in time, along with success he will grow to love the club?
Personally, he doesn't have to love us, though it would be nice. I just want him to run us like he would any of his other successful business models.

That's what I mean, he doesn't have to like us/football just hope he doesn't turn out to be another cardiff/hull trying to change colours/kits/names or even MK dons (not foreign I know) moving us from sheffield to somewhere 60 miles away

His favourite colour is Blue, so our colour's should stay the same.

Lets remember the Cardiff owner is Malaysian, not Thai, and that the changes at Hull were designed to allow them to have some distinction from all the other teams called City in English football. MK Dons (or Wimbledon as they were) had almost no choice but to move to a new city, they had no ground and they had no local councils who wanted them in London, so a move to MK was by far their best option. We already have probably the most unique name in world football, so there is no need to change that, Sheffield is the 4th largest city in England, so the potential is there and our main rivals wear red, so unlike the Cardiff situation that change would be a non-starter straight away!!

MK dons had no choice but in the same time it's taken them to get from bottom of L1 to the top, the phoenix AFC Wimbledon have come from the very bottom to be just 1 league behind them in L2. Also, there are a lot of rumours about of us moving from Hillsborough (I dont want to btw) but there is very little room in the city to build so we would have to move somewhere outside the city which would make it harder for me to get if it's not on the tram route as I haven't got a car.
My point still stands with the others though. Foreign owner with no experience in football taking over and wants to sell us to foreign markets, that was the main aim with both cardiff and hull remember. Apparently the owl is unlucky in Thailand and blue doesn't sell well in the asian market. Do you think the new owner will care that them lot wear red if he really wants to change our strip to red?

I think this guy is smart enough to not rock the boat tbh, he's seen more games than we realise and MM will have given him the skinny on the history, fanbase and expectations of the fans, so unless he is retarded he will never go down the route of Cardiff/Hull, my guess is he will turn out to be one of the better owners we have had, and like someone mentioned will NOT want to disappoint his son ( who would hopefully inherit a premiership club when he croaks) ..I expect this guy to be in the same vein as the littlewoods lot that owned the scousers ..and that didn't turn out too bad during that time did it !!
And Thurny .. learn to drive , then you can do the pussayyyy patrol (as the Inbetweeners once did) !!
