2025 Summer Transfer Window Thread

An advantage of starting the season so well whilst still being in the transfer window is that we might be more appealing to a player of his quality now with Heggebo and Price turning heads.

To be honest, I would drop our interest as well, if he would rather have gone somewhere else? Did he state that was the move he wanted? Apparently Norwich dropped their interest in him when the heard the 'very high' valuation Silkeborg, had put on him. What a right foot though Whistle

Mason still on the lookout and still prepared to shuffle the pack. Cole may as well move on now.

Chris Mepham from Bournemouth more-or-less confirmed on several outlets

I’m guessing that the acquisition of Mepham will mean the sale of Caleb Taylor. I’m not sure how I feel about this; on the one hand, we don’t seem to have been hugely successful (with one or two exceptions) of graduating academy players into the regular first team squad. On the other, I have to trust the coach’s judgement on whether he feels these players have, or don’t have, what it takes to make it his required level.
I would also say that Mepham is highly regarded and may well become a first choice central defender alongside Phillips.

I see Ipswich are on the verge of being able to put out an entire West Brom defence, with the impending transfer of Furlong. Somewhat bizarre

Furlong 4m and Fellows 10m!!!!
Good business or are we shooting ourselves in the foot this close to the deadline?

It's good PSR business for sure - only time will tell (next few days) if we have planned well and can replace them.

This time around I genuinely trust the management/owners to have this all in hand.

Probably loans.

I am surprised that its only £10m for Fellows given some of the values paid for other players in recent weeks/months.

It just seems somewhat disconcerting that we would sell some of our key players - thinking particularly Fellows - to a possible promotion rival. I appreciate the financial situation we are in but nevertheless. And 10 million seems ludicrously low for him.
