Thought we did ok in the 2nd half, Southampton will be up there come the end of the season.

A gulf in class today we couldn't do the Hillsborough thing ...players still in pre season and players who shouldn't be anywhere near Hillsborough thanks to clownsiris riegn and bungle ! In all I thought we did ok under these circumstances. Not the start we wanted though and we are now chasing ffs .

Can't be standing off teams, ball watching like that every game either.
Players were stood there as Southampton players moved and passed freely around them. It's unacceptable Almost every time we had the ball, 3-4 Southampton players pressed us. Embarrassing for those Southampton fans to be going off like that after only just, and with help from the ref, beating a Division 3 team. This result looks better for us than it does for them. 44 million parachute payments and still getting officials help. Get the fook out of here seriously

First half we were outplayed but they didn’t create much and I thought we defended well. In the second half we were far more in the game and could easily has won 2-1 instead of losing 2-1. Like Imre I thought Paterson was excellent tonight, both defending and getting forward. Windass needs to play down the middle as a No10 with Bannan and hopefully Byers behind him. Musaba looked lively but maybe tried to do too much. Defensively I can’t really fault anyone.
Not great losing but we won’t face many teams as good as them this season and if they can keep their better players then they will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. |
