Summer Rebuild 2023/24 Season
Looking much better now especially if and when the keeper signs today.
Shame they couldn't have the pre season tour together but that's how it is now players agents control the game now and not managers .
Still think we need a proper striker unless Westwood proves otherwise ? And Im hoping this is the end of the Iorfa Dawson show but it's going to be weeks and points dropped before it happens .

Those two especially need to be phased out. Dawson and Iorfa on the pitch together worries me no end.
You're just waiting for the inevitable to happen, one of them is guaranteed to make a goal scoring opportunity of a mistake and you just cannot afford that.

Vasquez reportedly having his medical this afternoon so I'd say we're looking good moving forward.
I'm happy with these signings on paper.
The problem now is integration and readjusting them all to Xiscos Disco music.

This squad should certainly be avoiding relegation and actually be in a good position to improve on what we have for next season by shedding the rest of the amateurs like Gregory, Paterson, Iorfa and Dawson.
Once those L1 players are gone and replaced with championship lvl players, such as we are doing. THEN we can consider having a pop at the Playoffs.

Derby want Smith

I read it was due to visa and paperwork delays.

Derby can have Smith if they stump up the money, but they won't be spending any money on transfer fees.

Both Att and Nat are following the GK on IG so I think its done bar the government paperwork.

Has Att stopped following Smith? Or does he only follow new players rather than unfollowing departing ones?

I’m not sure. He follows about 2500+ and the new players just show up as the recent ones at the top of the list. I think Smith will feature in todays game but if not then that might be the sign of an impending move.

Something on OT that says we’ve accepted a bid from Derby - but since the claimed fee is 350 k it might be a bit tongue in cheek

Smiths obvious lack pace and technical skill holds him back he is what he is ! But he' still scores goals and while we need a striker to bang in 20 I still believe he's worth keeping for his penalties alone and I reckon he'll get 10 goals whatever this season ..yes we need to move forward but unless there's a striker in the wings then why bother selling him ? At least wait till the next transfer window I say .

Vasquez finally signed.
Hoping to see him ahead of Dawson next month.

I'd imagine he'll get a start on Tuesday

Derby only want to loan smith with a view to signing him ..I say bollocks to that it's a waste of time unless we bring in another striker or give cadimatri his chance ?
