Peterbrough v Sheff Wed
Bolton v Barnsley

This is an interesting group of teams Ferguson's lot sneaked in on the last day, Barnsley peaked? Wednesday inconsistent in recent weeks my tip is Bolton, in good form

First avoidable, second unlucky third and fourth nothing they could have done about either, could have been worse suspect Moore and the phrase potted is only a week away.

Nineteen points between the two. Nineteen points. Play Offs are horrible.  Whistle

All fans who end up in the "auto" spot that leads to the playoffs say that!!! I love the play offs, they are the best thing to happen to football, but today I hate them!!!!

We had a similar experience in 2011. Finished 16 points above Bournemouth, but only scraped through on a penalty shoot out. But then got beat 3-0 by Peterborough in the final, who we'd finished 8 points above.

Is it time to make it more advantageous for the highest finishing team? It doesn't seem fair at all that Sheffield Wednesday have the same status going into the play offs, despite their 19 point superiority in the league table. The only advantage Wendy have is having the second leg at home.

Other competitions, for instance in Scotland and our National League have a much clearer advantage for finishing in the higher league placing.

Would it be better for the 5th and 6th teams to play a one legged game at 5th's ground, with the winners playing the 4th away, and then the winners of that meeting the 3rd place team at Wembley?

There is a lot of debate over this so far this season because of ours and Notts Countys situations. The most compelling argument against them I am seeing is the old adage that the beauty of the league is that its a marathon and not a sprint, its a result that is based on 46 games, and yet for that one team its not that, its a sprint over 3 games!! As the stats show, all football is about momentum and that is often not with the 3rd placed team by definition as they just missed out on promotion but the team that made 6th place is on a high having reached the POs.

I don't see a way of fixing it, I don't think it really needs fixing in reality, but maybe a more National League set up might be a bit fairer.

You didn't miss much, wasn't a great game and Bolton were poor.

Hope whichever team wins this, plays better in the final. Whistle
