Wonder how many moth`s escaped from the Chinaman`s wallet when he opened it.?

On that note, now it`s open does it mean he may pay WBA back and invest as well?

I'm pleased for you. and I'm pleased for him because a lot could have gone wrong for him at Leeds and wrecked his future. They've got some good players. If it was easy making a team out of them it probably wouldn't need doing. If they'd all got Gnonto's attitude and fight it would indeed be easy street.

well tf for that I hoped CC wouldn't throw away all he's achieved with us and it seems he's gone one better by ending the speculation conclusively
by choosing to sign an extended deal with us. Top Man Smile with integrity. Ron Gourlay is even sticking his neck out and saying were going up via the playoffs
because of the appt of CC. bold statement based on his belief in CC.

it is really positive news and I don't want to be a doom and gloom merchant, but in the real world, all it means is that the compensation paid to us from any club taking him from us, would be higher. Quite a few sites are reporting that Leeds offered CC a contract, but he turned it down as they would only commit to 18 months, so we offered a longer deal with an improved salary.

I agree Salop, great that he has signed an extended contract but in the selfish world of football, a big contract with lots of £ signs could still lead to him being on his ?? and a ?? turning up at B71. We would be back in the ?? and his ?? could still be packed.
But for the time being, a happy baggie.

P.A another social media cracker from the Albion media team, using a quote from happy valley. (If I knew how to cut and paste from newsnow/WBA on my tablet I would included it here).

Damn, my emoji 's didn't post, trying to be clever.

Translation.... On his BIKE and a TAXI turning up at B71. We would be back in the WC and his BAGS could still be packed.I

Hope that makes more sense.

I just hope we have not signed him on a contract to an alternative company and now subcontract him in.

Surely the club can see the trouble Man City are in and would try to distance themselves from such dodgy practice.

Oh……. Where is our Money Chairman LIE and what’s the detail behind that loan Mr Peace.

I've just thought - I wonder if CC signing this extension will act as springboard to the team's performance...... a type of acknowledgement that the boss recognises that they're doing a great job and that's why he stayed?

Gossip says.Leeds wanted him on a cheap dirty 6 month contract with a hefty bonus if he kept them up.
Extending his contract is a win win. We get to keep him and his transfer fee goes up considerably.
Good boost to some of the squad, but some of the others will begin to look for a new club.
This gives CC the chance to bring in a couple of extra new faces to freshen the squad up and maybe give a couple of youngsters a run.
Interesting times ahead.

It’s the first time in ages that I’ve actually had a good feeling about the club. I love the team spirit which is clear from reactions after the games. I think CC is a taskmaster, tactician and generally makes things happen. But up until this week I’ve been consistently worried that the money clubs would be after him and he’d be off before anything was achieved. Probably just the long term Albion fan grumpy realism in me.

The extension provides some reassurance and also appears to demonstrate that he has loyalty to the squad, the club and the impact he’s had so far. I can’t criticise the guy at all.

OK this could all change and come back to bite us in the bum but at the moment positive vibes all round.

Same here, Derby.
I just wonder what CC thinks about the Ownership of the Club (?) Ron Gourlay has obviously worked hard to reassure him, and RG must be reasonably confident himself.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with
