League One football is again a real possibility.

This is the second time in my life. The first time hooliganism was rife and after nearly being beaten up attending a match I had given up on football. The Albion were relegated to, then, Division Three.

I became rejuvenated as a fan. The indignity of dropping from Division Two got me back into football with an anger and passion.

Welcome then Sir Gary Megson.

If Carlos can stop the rot, and it is a huge rot and get us back playing entertaining football and challenges for promotion he will deserve the knighthood honour just as much.

Dire dire times.

Entertaining football is great, but a few SGM ugly 1-0 wins would be fine.

I was going to ‘like’ this post but I think an ‘I really share your pain’ button would be more appropriate

finally were bottom, two teams above have 1 and 2 games in hand. we need a win and at same time middlesborough, coventry and huddersfield to lose to get out the bottom 3.Sad
My journey is a little bit similar to Stairs I was albion mad as a kid in the 70's losing interest in the 80s due to all the violence around the game and as i moved to london in the mid 80s I completely lost touch with it all together I moved to a house with a band in manor park they were from liverpool but were more interested in american football so I picked a team, L A Raiders and followed that and then motorcycle speedway much more friendly fanbases. Then in 2000ish SGM the play off loss to bolton 4-2 if memory serves me and I was hooked again
and all the pain and emotion and misery of being a wba fan returned with it. People ask, am I going to watch the game, its on sky. yesterday being a fine example but I didn't even switch it on because I'm a bit wiser and when it comes to wba lately I'm almost a prophet. A prophet of doom. Blackpool next up 3 easy points for them is my prediction.

Missed Saturday's game again, as I've had family over for abroad who I've been showing around the UK.

Much like the Millwall game, the result was as expected when I saw the line up.

After championing Carlos Corberán for the role even weeks before Bruce was sacked, I am feeling a tad embarrassed after that team selection...

It screamed of a Richard Beale selection. So many square pegs in round holes.

3 full backs on the pitch, 2 playing centre half Doh

I appreciate that it seems to be the "done thing" in football for any new manager to select the same dross as the previous manager in their first game. But after watching Corberan's interview where he said he had watched all of our games this season, I was hopeful of him getting some of the basics right and hitting the ground running. After seeing that selection, I suspect he was telling a few porkies about watching us.

Common sense says we have to build the team around our best players - Yokuslu, Rogic, Swift and Wallace. Bizarrely the manager only managed to select one in Wallace, who was again played out of position. Having an out and out winger in the side doesn't fit a 3-5-2.

I just can't fathom how Yokuslu and Rogic have almost 100 international caps between them, yet neither were deemed good enough to kick a ball on Saturday... Absolutely bizarre in a side containing the likes of Furlong, Townsend, Reach, Grant, Asante. Players who I've yet to see anything to prove they're even good enough at this level.

We really need to get back to basics, fast. I'd be looking at our 4 steadiest defenders. Yokuslu and Jake protection. And then tinker with the creative 4. Give us a solid platform but without 3 men constantly behind the ball that we have in our back 3.

I'll give Corberán the benefit of the doubt after 1 game, but he needs to learn fast. Continued selections like that and we will be relegated.

I am bringing us some good luck, my last home game was the 5-1 drubbing of Swansea.

FFS, please tell me he's not serious with that team!!!! Furlong and Grant keep their places. Just start with nine, at least that way they aren't helping the opposition.

Team looks like Carlos is totally bewildered about what he can do with the players he's got.

I honestly think that Carlos can't be judged one bit until a few more weeks have gone by.
Common sense says he MUST be being advised by t'others still there; it's THEM that should know better!
