He is obviously managing at the WC and has accepted on the basis he completes his duties there to first

We are in no rush to appoint a new manager, if it wasn't a number of idiots who were completing the interviews that could be seen as very professional. IMO it's another clear demonstration on how poorly we are run. Can't think of another club who messes about on such an important decision.

i get the feeling that our NEW manager(whoever it is) will only sign a contract for the remainder of this season, sad to say that whoever it it will be a short term fix with the main aim of keeping our sorry looking club in the championship.
cannot see any new manager wanting to stay if we get relegated

just my opinion

Probably saving a few quid on managers salary every week that passes without an appointment.

I thought that was the current system for squad selections. Only trouble is the astral charts are up side down.

Sunak now gone (Middlesbrough, I think)....
... Corberan deal almost done according to this article (which paints a pretty good picture of him)

After the unseemly haste in appointing his pal Steve Bruce, it seems Gourlay is now taking the completely opposite approach with Carlos Corberan. Anyone getting slightly nervous about the protracted negotiations?

His managerial stats are atrocious unless I’m missing something. His sides concede more than they score. How does that help us given the situation we’re in?

Take a look at them in wiki.

To be fair, Moses, I think the most realistic comparison is his time with Huddersfield where, over 102 matches, they conceded 6 more goals than they scored, if, like you, I’m reading this correctly. That difference could be the result of two or three heavy defeats. For me, the more telling statistic is the win %. Comparing it to our more recent managers, you have to go back to Di Matteo and Mowbray at 40-45% before anyone has a better performance record than his 37.25% at Huddersfield.

I’m not remotely suggesting that Corberan is the answer to all of our problems as our issues go far deeper than the appointment of a new manager. However, in looking at who’s available, who’s affordable, who would realistically consider us, as well as the penny pinching attitude of our owner, and I’m struggling to think of someone better.

......in which case, Steve, let's call him Rishi.
