2023: January Transfer Window
Clarke to Middlesbrough, Grabban goes to Saudi - no one wants to come to Albion

With Grabban going to Saudi, if we sign McBurnie I'd suggest we sack Bruce the same day and just accept a season of mediocrity. We'd be better resigning Carroll or HRK before McBurnie

If we can't get someone decent, I'd rather get no one at all.  This is how we ended up in this mess in the first place, signing panic buys at the end of the window and living with it for years and can't get them off the book to bring in new players.  Be fun to see what happened if we played with a front 4 anyway Whistle Big Grin Big Grin Whistle

We will have to see, it seems only the Birmingham snail is running this story at present and it is only based on a tweet from some Portuguese radio presenter, so who know. I thought FC Andorra were favourites at present with a bid in for him for a loan with a RTB, has it been turned down all ready?

He could be a find of the century - But really, a division two striker.....

Report says - A move for Thomas-Asante would surely ease the burden on Grant. He would arrive as a hungry, talented forward with plenty to prove. He’s shown his quality in League Two but a move to the Championship would be a real step up, so he’d be determined to show he’s capable of playing at this level. If reports of a £300,000 buyout clause are true, Thomas-Asante could prove to be a really shrewd addition.

As the article says,..... 'underwhelming'...... but we've seen many cheap buys in the past that have been 100x better than many of our so-called 'big money' signings.
Isn't this why Mr Bruce is paid - I don't know..... £50k a week*? I'm no fan of his but let's hope he's right on this one, and we don't sign another mule on a 4 year contract for the same sort of dosh

(*any ideas on his wages?)

Jamie Vardy, Lee Hughes - there are loads of examples so lets hope this could be the start of a super relationship. That said, we still need to find a way to be more attractive than Birmingham..........
