Apparently, Jordan Rhodes was off back to Boro but Danny Schofield has talked him into staying.

Can he jump higher than 9' tall Colin Quaner and then head the ball at all, let alone in a direction that matters?

If signing Hudlin, even for your B Team, and paying a fee is a sign of the intelligence now behind Huddersfield then I don't hold any great hopes for you this time round. Sorba Thomas might be able to bounce the odd ball off his mountainous face, but there really is very little chance this player will develop to Championship level. Solihull have kept placing him in shop windows and hoping. Finally someone has deliberately bought the dead mouse in Roald Dahl's sweetie jar. He's 6'9" and he's better on the ground than in the air ...... he keeps in touch with his feet by radio. At least the fee would have been small.

We signed another big lad, yonks back, from Wakefield, someone else will know him without me Googling him. Gave Wakey (no not that one) a small fortune in fees, footballs, nets and tracksuits. After a couple of loans and a bit of a wander round assorted clubs of erm, high ambition but no brass, he finished up back at Wakefield as far as I recall. We ain't learned much. How much for a bag of balls and a new set of nets for the training fields of Solihull these days?
PS, we'd be better off getting the lad at fullback off Halifax Town according to my bro. He's no idea why he's playing for them.
