Our luck will change when Val changes things,
Do the same things and you get the same results?
Phillips dropped to the bench and Robinson takes the No9 position.

Hugill: if you can't keep your head and put the ball away - or at least put it on target - when you get an opportunity like that, it's pack-your-bags time.

When we signed Hugill, I said I was not impressed, but I would give him the benefit of the doubt. I did that, but I think all the doubt is used up now, he useless just as he appeared in the videos I watched.

I think we’ve got three things going wrong:
1) no central striker. Problem dating back to the summer we lost Gayle and Rodriguez (and Rondon before then). No one who naturally stays centrally and gets in the box. Other than Hugill, bloody hell…
2) the formation works if you have low possession - lots of pressure from the front, cover at the back, and gaps in midfield are closed by the high line. But now we’re trying to pass and opponents are leaving us with the ball, we rely on centre backs and full backs to pass, we have nowhere near enough creativity or quality from midfield. Which isn’t helped by…
3) Ill discipline. Probably without Livermore, Molumby and Snodgrass for the next game for various reasons, plus Mowatt and Furlong banned before
As it is, our players are good enough for the playoffs, but automatic is a pipe dream

That said, I think we’re better with Hugill on the pitch. He’s a presence in the middle and, defenders have to keep an eye on him. A trained kangaroo would do a similar job
