3pts will be hard to get away to Peterborough this season and so that was precious.
Hugill has done more in 45 mins than Grant has done in all the time he has played for us. I see goals from that man.
Sorry stairs disagree with Grant always willing, great link up play with Townsend first half. Could have had penalty doing more than Grady and I’m a big Grady fan. But this is what Forums are about opinions. Fair enough. We all see it differently and that’s no sin.
I just expect so much more from him and see nothing to give me hope.
He fell over trying for a penalty when he could have stayed up and, maybe, get a shot on goal.
Last game v Arsenal he did the dying swan act when he should have been setting a better example.
I have given up on him.

VI is growing on me more and more with each game. Loved his interview where he explained giving Ferguson two fingers was merely his way of expressing two penalties. He then went on to say “later I found out it means something else in England” cmon Val you must remember agincourt mon dieu only Val knows. Meanwhile Daz, son of Alex of hairdryer, in his interview states, “He (VI) needs to calm down, he’s done nothing yet. “ well that may be so but I know who I’d rather have at the helm out of these two?

Totally agree. Darren Ferguson, a career of complete mediocrity and only “achieved “because of his relationship to Sir Alex.

Just came back from a week in Switzerland so didn't catch any of last week's game or the debacle midweek, except the goals.
That said, was excited for yesterday's game, given the dominant performances against Sheffield United and Blackburn. I expected us to roll Peterborough over, but it was a bit of a reality check.
From a positive point of view, we kept toiling and deserved the last minute goal for our efforts.
From a negative, we didn't play any football at all and when the huff and puff isn't working, it's a bit dour to watch. I also felt it showed how short our squad is despite the 2 recent loan signings. Ending with Townsend as a centre half is really clutching and I don't think we have any alternative to Grady and Grant - the latter remains unconvincing to me too. Still no cover or alternative to Furlong either. Robbo was obviously a big miss, but I think covid is going to continue to hit, so we need more bodies.
I'm a bit disappointed that we seem to be scraping the barrel with our signings - Hugill especially - as I thought we might invest at least some of the Pereira cash on a proper striker. It does seem like the opportunity for promotion is there for us, so I'd hate to see us miss out because of lack of squad depth. Val's start would justify giving him a few million to spend at least. At the moment I feel Ajayi would probably be our best shout up top, given the aerial bombardment style we are adopting and the fact he doesn't start when all the defenders are fit.

Don’t see why some fans are having a downer on Hugill he is perfect for our up and at them style. Also he had a great partnership with Robinson at Preston. I’m well up for him doing well as a baggie.

Who's having 'a downer' on a Baggies player without giving him a chance??
Shame on them!
I'd much rather have a really committed, physically and mentally, type of player, than a gifted twat who drifts out of the game more often than he's in it. I think the former player /personality is the sort that we are going to attract and sign, and I welcome that

I've seen a fair bit of Hugill and he just wouldn't have been my choice to be honest.
When he played against us for Boro he was just elbowing and fouling constantly. It's not really something that I enjoy watching. I realise that we're not going to play a "purist" style this season and I'm fine with that after last year's gutless campaign campaign. But I don't see him as any upgrade on HRK.
Of course I hope he proves me wrong.
But I think we need more up front as a duo of Hugill and Zohore is not enough to get us promoted. Robbo and Phillips have done well but neither are orthodox strikers so I personally think we need another striker to come in as well as competition for Furlong. Mowatt looks an excellent signing but otherwise I think we've basically scraped the barrel which is disappointing after a big money sale. But there's still time for something to happen so we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Zohore wot play if still here. After that gutless cameo against Luton and the terrible performance against Arsenal I would put aany of our attack minded kids in front of him.
As for Hugill get set for a surprise.

Hugill looks hungry and capable - I am expecting good things from him
