Made it last night, our trusty hire car had no problems what so ever.
It was good to be back watching live football. Yes it's a pain the arse having to wear a face mask and not being able to purchase any food or drink in the ground but if those are the sacrifices that we have to make then so be it.
The game itself was quite poor. I don't think we will see Henderson taking a penalty again any time soon.
I thought Shaw looked good going forward but all our defensive problems came from his side in the first half, probably a lack of protection in front of him.
Grealish did ok and will give Southgate something to think about this week
Superb save by Johnstone towards the end of the game will give him confidence moving forward but is obviously 3rd in the pecking order at the moment.
Roll on next Sunday and Croatia at Wembley

Here goes, my take on what Southgate will pick on Sunday. Note that I haven't included Maguire as he obviously isn't fit
Goalkeeper Pickford
Right Center Back Walker
Center Back Stones
Left Center Back Mings
Right Wing Back James
Left Wing Back Chilwell
Holding Midfielder- Henderson
Central Midfield Rice
Central Midfield Mount
Attack Left Rashford
Attack Right Sterling
Attack Central Kane
I know that's incredibly hard on Grealish, I just think Southgate will remain loyal to the front 3 for the first game.
What we do have whoever starts is some great attacking players to come in with Grealish, Foden and Sancho all easily capable of starting, in fact other than Kane I don't think anyone of our forwards can take a place for granted

The car is still in the garage, a fuel injector had gone with another on the way out. The mechanic is someone we use and trust so we know he won't rob us blind, our biggest problem is he doesn't have a car we can use in the meantime and the parts could take weeks/months to arrive(thanks brexit/covid) and the insurance won't cover us a replacement car.
So it's home deliveries from T'asda and buses and taxis where possible for the foreseeable future.
As for Wemberleee, I've been sent my e-tickets and the first game on Sunday we are advised to arrive at the stadium at 11:30-12:00 which we've no chance of meeting as the train doesn't get into KX until 11:59.
Food and drink in the ground hasn't been announced as yet, at Boro on Sunday we were allowed 1 500ml bottle of water/soft drink each but that doesn't last long and the greenhouse at the top of Wembley will be a damn sight warmer than the shade of the Riverside stand. They were selling cans of beer at the League/Fa Cup final for £6 a can along with the usual food items but at the Play offs they had no alcohol on sale except in hospitality where it was table service.
So your guess is as good as mine?

We hired a car for a month when we moved to this area pending buying a second car. It wasn't that expensive. Just over £200 if I remember. We had to pay £100 or so extra to waive the giant excess if we had an accident but we got that back. An alternative to taxis, Wakey?

Definitely nowhere near that. We paid about £240 plus the £100 insurance excess waiver. That was a Renault Clio. When we hired one from enterprise to go away for the weekend with family and needed a larger car, we paid £80 for 4 days for either of us to drive. I can't remember the model but it was a Chevrolet 2.something giant saloon! We hired a van for a couple of days, a Fiat Doblo, that was about £60. That was to take some of my childhood toys to a specialist auction in Dudley and I remember we debated whether it would be worth it if the lots didn't make their reserve (they actually did better and I got nearly £1000!). What the hell has happened to send the prices flying up?

Cost us £140 to hire from Saturday lunch through to Monday lunch, long term hire and they knock us 10% off so it'll probably just come down to just under a grand. Cheaper to go out and buy a banger for a month and then sell it on
