We've now lost the spine of the team.
We should have enough to cover for Hollis IMO, but Asante has been our attack, even when not scoring himself. Whatever your aversion to signing players, and however much our furloughing strikes many of us a as simply cheating the tax payer, if we want to reach the play-offs and then have a realistic chance of promotion we urgently need to sign a centre forward table both to score a few goals and have the physical strength to keep the opposition defence at full stretch.
I think we have until April 22nd to do it. Is that right?

We signed Kairo Mitchell the other week. Could we recall Boden from Torquay or play Luke Rawson?
Playing a front 3 would really improve our chances of scoring goals.

I wouldn't recall Boden. I would have tried Rawson. I might also have tried Will Evans up front. I imagine he would disrupt many a defence and create chances for Mitchell.
Looking at all the signings we've made which have refreshed our team .............. now a centre forward is more vital than any of them. I can cope with another season in the National League. Mr Rowe has done brilliantly. He has been upended by misfortune, that's all. We may well not be able to afford another signing of any kind. I can accept that, but it doesn't make it the wrong answer. It just means we are staying where we are for now.

Boden scored last night for Torquay so doubt he'll be allowed back. What sort of centre-forward would you bring in? A player I would try up front is Clarke or even Maguire as he would be a handful for defenders.

I'd want a proper centre forward, with a bit of physical strength, an eye for goal and boundless enthusiasm, the sort of bloke who is still trying when you are 2-0 down ten minutes in. Bob Newton from times past might do as a model.
Asante's contribution to our successful run has been huge. Boden isn't really a centre forward, he's an old-fashioned inside forward. Wright was out again for Torquay. I don't know if it is short or long-term. Boden certainly isn't a replacement for him. If he's out for Torquay that's good news for Sutton.

Rumour we are signing Danny Rowe.
Signed Rowe for an undisclosed fee from Bradford City.

Fans of other clubs especially Wrexham want to know where the money is coming from and how can we sign new players while we furloughed 3.

But they're not asking about King's Lynn who have furloughed six ........... and signed several?
I'm not in favour of it, it's scab labour! But if we're signing scabs I want them to have a goal in them.
But at least we're not the plaything of couple of Hollywood middle-rankers and whoever the idiot is who covers the National League on the BBC website and thinks everything that happens at the Racecourse is news - "Today Dean Keates took a successful dump!"

The only thing I have against Wrexham is that if they'd stopped whingeing and got on with playing they'd have been back in the EFL eight years ago or more. That's where they should be and I'd like them to get back.
The question I would ask about our buying Danny Rowe is that if there is nothing odd in our behaviour, why didn't we do it as soon as we knew about Asante's ACL. I knew his absence would make a massive difference to us and that we had several tough games coming one after another. I knew from Devon, watching a bit online, as an amateur fan, who once played a bit .......... Does anybody out there think I know more than our manager James Rowe? So we predictably dropped eight vital points and then some money and an available player arrived ............... Since James Rowe's arrival he has been consistent in making quick decisions and moving with great speed in the market. He has been solving tomorrow's problem yesterday. This time he tried an unlikely answer to his problem over three games before acting. Doesn't sound like the same man does it? Whether we win or lose at Wrexham I'll be wondering what's going on, won't you?
