Unbelievable.
As we've seen countless times it can be even harder playing against 10, so let's not hear anyone say it was made easy for us.
I would honestly have thought that they'd have beaten us with 9, so IMHO this is one of the best results we've had for many years.
Didn't see any of it but it sounds like we were fantastic going forward in their half (at last), and Pereira & Diagonal were outstanding (ditto).
Really looking forward to actually watching MOTD later!

how sodding typical that BT sport had this game I despise MOTD and the highlights are so short even if we are the first match on

I think it would be wrong to look at the game without taking into account the impact that the sending off had. When Silva was sent-off Chelsea were 1-0 ahead and not having to go up any gears.

Then Ivanovic went off injured and Allardyce had the chance to be positive. Had it been 11v11 I think we would have seen Peltier come on for Ivanovic. In fact Peltier was getting himself ready to come on before Robinson was given the nod.

The change of shape is what changed the game for us. Phillips, Pereria, Robinson and Diagne all looked good together and there was finally some cohesion and clinical finishing.

It was absolutely excellent and the finishing was sublime. My only frustration is that it’s either famine or feast (but usually famine!). If we could have shared those five around the two goalless draws against Burnley and the one against Newcastle, we’d be a lot closer to a realistic escape than we are. I’m not complaining because it was brilliant but just a case of “what if...”

As I say I didn't see it but your account is no doubt right Josh. It'll be interesting to see whether that change will have an effect on BFS's team selection from here on in - obviously we have to WIN almost all games so let's keep our fingers crossed; play as much as we can on the front foot and go down with a bit of pride restored Thumb up

Only West Bromwich Albion, facing almost certain relegation, playing away against an imported high-profile manager bossing a team trying to qualify for the Champions League, when they themselves are managed by a man who puts defence first, which has not stopped him constantly underlining his own side's lack of potency up front, could end up deserving 2-5 winners against Chelsea.

The one thing it proves is that even Sam Allardyce can't stop West Brom becoming West Brom.

I hope it will Drewks. We can't draw our way to safety so he has to be more positive from the start going forward. Starting with 5 defenders made sense today and we have been more solid in recent months playing in a 451 formation but I think today has shown that we don't always need to play with AM-N, Gallagher and Yokuşlu in the middle. We can play with 2 of them and have an extra attacking player such as Robinson.

Most importantly, Pereira must be played centrally.

I don’t really know what to say.

Naturally I am over the moon to celebrate a win but at the same time I am pissed, as this is putting lipstick on the pig, it is a few games too late to show us what is possible - or is it.

The Newcastle v Spurs game have greater meaning and instead of being disinterest in the rest of the season I am now excited about Monday v Southampton

Bloody football!!!
