And so with that exclusive sneak preview of next year's shirt sponsor, we kick off this bumper thread to take us through the Easter weekend and... well, honestly, most of April. For all those who feel like being sealed in a cave for the next three days (or, indeed, weeks) would be the ideal way to experience Albion's upcoming fixtures, let this thread be a refuge. If your gallows are devoid of humour, may this thread answer your every need. Should you want points on the board and a tenacious fight for survival... then there's not really a great deal I can do about that. But then, it doesn't seem there's a lot the manager and players can do about it either, so we're in good company.
Albion have now reached the point where it would require a Leicester-in-2015 style revival to survive, from a tougher run-in than the Foxes had, and with one point less on the board to begin with. With that in mind, the first three fixtures - which see us locking horns with Oh God Almighty What's The Point Anymore Athletic, Please Please Make It Stop Rovers, and If Only I'd Been A Badminton Fan Instead United - are all must-wins, just as the last match was a must-win, and the one before that, and all those others which we somehow contrived not to win, sometimes by quite Herculean feats of dumbf**kery. I'm not saying it's categorically not going to happen, but our survival chances are currently somewhat lower than those of a pork pie in Allardyce's fridge.
All of which is why it feels a bit redundant to spend the coming weeks poring over our previous record against the opposition, and the respective form of the teams. Unlike last April, we are at least getting some football, irrespective of the quality, so put your troubles to one side and join us here - for better or worse - for the longest of Good Fridays.
