What a game, had a bit of everything really...
We were very fortunate with the sending off, which was never a second booking. But after that, fair play to us for showing good attacking intent.
I thought that Pereira and Diagne in particular were superb. Robinson also took his goals well and Yokulsu was typically strong in midfield.
Defensively we looked very nervy and disjointed. Too many rushed or poor clearances and even Johnstone looked nervy again after dropping the cross which almost lead to a Chelsea goal. Chelsea's second goal was far too easy and I wasn't happy with the fact they looked like they would score every time they went forward despite being a man down. We looked far too nervous to play any football in our own half and made basic mistakes like Ajayi blasting his clearance off Townsend when he had the time to simply pass it out.
Fortunately in the final 3rd we played really well today. Pereira and Diagne had their best games in the shirt. Absolutely everything stuck to Diagne today and Pereira showed that magic that we've missed for a long time. Hopefully this win can breed a bit of confidence and we can see more of that quality going forward, because that's what we've been missing in recent weeks.
