I think we want him because he will give us something different up front. He is tall and good in the air so we'll have a plan B of either going long from the back or going wide to the full-backs to pump his crosses into him.
If we do want him then I expect he'll come with another striker, a faster striker who can play with him if Slaven wants to play with 2 strikers. I don't think it will be just Diallo.

no no no and another no
do not want a striker who is unfamiliar with the premier league
certainly do not want one that will take time bed in and take 6 months to find the net
sure we are looking at better than a sub standard Frenchman?

Hey, don't hold back AAA - come out with it. Say what you think!
For what it's worth, my opinion is a little more accepting; accepting the fact we're struggling to afford anyone who has previously scored a ton of goals in a top league, and accepting that it IS possible to unearth a real gem from wherever.
And as long as we don't spend loadsamoney and also put all our eggs in this particular basket I'm all for having a punt on this sort of player

I'm at a loss as to why Bilic doesn't know who could do a job for us.
We dont want a 30 goal a season superstar, just a 15 goal poacher will do fine.

Blue, I think the problem is that a 15 goal per season striker with EPL experience is also well beyond our budget, unless he’s 33+ years old and on the slide

Why can't we find a new Wingie - Hughes - Lukaku - Bull - Regis - Phillips - Gera - Kanu - Super Bob
What are our recritment team doing. Our recruiment has been mostly rubbish for years.
Brentford - Bristol City - Norwich - Blackburn find one every season for pennies.
Mendes keeps finding the Dingles hidden gems?
Maybe I expect far to much - whats everyone else think?

While I agree on finding a striker from outside the normal places, I said during the back end of last season I would like to see Robinson given a go up front, I am not panicking as I think he can do a job for us up front. With our style of play a conventional CF will not really fit, we need a front man who is pacey and is technically skilful. On your other point about "Our recruitment has been mostly rubbish for years." I only have a few words, Pereira, Grady Robinson, Krov.

Sky are trying to make out we’re only trying to buy Grant and or Silarmi but what Bilic said is yes Grant and Silarmi are on our list and we’re looking at one or two strikers and one will come in. So we’re not just looking at them two. But I also think we could bring in a left back.

Any chance we could offer Hayes £10K for an unproven striker??
