IMO we should sign someone else, we cannot be spending the rumoured £18m Hudds want for him.
If he was that good he would already have a new club, obviously nobody else believes he is worth that kind of money.
I can't even see his value increasing and we can get someone better for half that.

Looking around on who is available on a free - any would cost £5 million a year in salary.
None are my favourites, but if you want goals who cares.
Edinson Cavani
Mario Mandzukic
Balotelli
Sturridge
Olivier Giroud
Edin Dzeko
I would also take Clyne as a back up full back on a free from Liverpool

It’s very frustrating on how this is playing out and I get more pessimistic by the day. I wonder though, Bluebaggie, who you have in mind when you say we could get someone better for half the asking price. From my perspective, the names banded around outwith Grant have been wretched. For half his price we could sign Kenneth Zohore............

See my last post, all goal scorers all available. Most would think I was mad to mention them. But Kanu - Lukaku - came and surely Bilic has the magic wand to sign a big player ?

How about Alfred Finnbogason from Augsburg? He's 31 now but has a record of 35 in 89 for Augsburg in the league and is more of a poacher than what we currently have.
