Waited a long time for this one, haven't we? I've refrained from updating the thread out of fear of jinxing it, but with less than a week to go now, I'll start allowing myself a bit of excitement.

Now if everyone could just steer well clear of bat soup until we've got promotion in the bag, that'd be dandy.

Well the day has come, from the premier league games I've seen so far we should probably expect both sides to be rusty and it will probably be a poor game. As long as we win, it doesn't really matter, obviously it's very anti-climatic when none of us can be there but we still have a promotion race to see through.

Brentford have done us a massive favour this afternoon. Win against Blues and we're nine points clear.

Well, that was a frustrating watch. Blues organised well and got bodies behind the ball, and we were just too sluggish and one-dimensional in response. Couldn't have been more obvious that we've gone three months without a competitive game of football.

A bit disappointing although I didn’t think the performance was poor. There will be a lot of twists and turns over the next 8 games so I’ll take the point. For me, this had banana skin written all over it so happy enough
