As tempting as it is, in the face of current events, to call it quits on the 2019-20 Football League and calculate the final table via the Duckworth-Lewis Method (which by my reckoning should see Albion finish 1st with 7,835 points and be crowned Permanent Champions of Europe), as things stand we still have a football season to crack on with, and we may as well make the most of it. And if by April the Hawthorns turnstiles are doomed to stand dormant for the foreseeable future, then what better way to bid farewell to the matchday experience than with a local derby?

It could have been the perfect time to play Blues, who are winless in the last month and were essentially safe from relegation. But in addition to giving us a fierce game whenever we butt heads, there's also the threat of another points deduction hanging over Birmingham, which means that they have to regard themselves as a participant in the dogfight until further notice. With Albion seemingly stumbling in form again, this may end up being too close for comfort.

And finally, on a "things more important than football" note, if you do feel under the weather *for any reason at all* this weekend (or in weekends to come), then please do the sensible thing and stay at home. What starts out as a bit of a cough can prove to be far, far worse a couple of days later, and by then it's too late to help the people you already infected. We've got enough to contend with here without being our own worst enemies. Be smart, use some common sense, and hopefully all of us fans will get to enjoy the sport we love for a long time to come.

Think the games off,
Premier League and EFL meeting this morning as players from Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton are self isolating,

So Football being suspended 1 game before Pereira is due to sign permanently is the most West Brom thing that could ever possibly happen.... Sick

For anyone suffering withdrawal symptoms, BBC1 are showing classic FA Cup quarter-final highlights at 3pm today, with Albion vs Forest 1978 among the promised selection.

Seems they're mooting 25th May for resumption of training, 6th June for a possible restart, or failing that 13th June alongside the Premier League. A lot can happen between now and then though.

Support Schalke04 Similar industrial heritage to West Brom. And they haven’t forgotten their roots, take a look at the players tunnel in their magnificent stadium. Today is their Black Country derby, would you want to support a team in yellow?
