Didn't think I would ever say this "RESPECT TO LEEDS". Yes the goal they scored was a little controversial, in defence of the scorer, maybe he wouldn't have been aware there was a player down, he was out on the wing, he would have realised he was in acres of space not being closed down or chased. Slight stain but wow Leeds manager deserve major credit ...... on the touchline screaming at his players to not challenge the seals from the kick off and let them score. Only one player intervened, every Leeds player tore into him afterwards. Vile scored, game ended 1 - 1 and Leeds automatic promotion hopes ended too. Knowing so much was at stake but to follow the managers instructions anyway shows a great sense of fair play. Shows how much cheating goes on that we are shocked and talking about an act of sportsmanship.

Yeh, I agree; in today's game, and especially in getting promoted to the PL, there's so much at stake that the 'win at all costs' mentality dominates.
Absolutely great to see the Leeds boss, and then the players, act this way. True sportsmanship. Sadly a very rare commodity.

Whilst I would applaud the action of Bielsa, I don’t particularly agree with the sentiments on the site. I think this is such a grey area - when should you kick it out/ when you shouldn’t, what constitutes a serious injury/ what doesn’t, was it a reckless challenge/ was the injured player just unlucky, that I would like to revert to the referee being the sole arbiter of this particular issue. I just reckon it cuts out all this controversy and, more importantly, inconsistency. I’m all for the game being played in a sporting manner but I believe this is a mine field, so leave it to the ref.

Not to mention one of his players had just feigned facial injury getting el gazhi (however you spell it) sent off. If he'd been fairer still, he should have took one of his players off. Yes, that would be farcical but if you're going to be thoroughly fair......?

Jeeez - not expecting TOO much?!! Confused

I've got to say that ideally, I'd agree with BaggieSteve's sentiments in an ideal world, but still applaud the Leeds HC & players for how they reacted.

Love that Bamford has got a 2 match retrospective ban for pretending to be injured.

I agree with what you say but in this case if you watch the build up, the guy with the ball on the left wing definitely feigned to put the ball out of play before just passing it down the line to Klich, leaving the Villa defenders flat footed. Sure you play to the whistle, but you also play to your opponents apparent intentions in this scenario.

Why is it Bamford only gets a two match ban for "deceiving an official" but Dwight Gayle got a three match ban for the same offence? If anything Bamford's was far worse! No consistency at all!
