have we not learnt ...... big Dave did great end of last season but to do the same again this year is not the long term option ..... bring in the permanent new man NOW and he can save our season and gain an insight into what we have, what we need and who we don't, harsh but true, ahead of what should be a big post promotion rebuild ..... here's hoping.

With Mr Jenkins typical arrogance, he believed he would have good managers applying for the job within hours. His attitude has driven away anyone with any sense? We are now stuck between the journey men / money hunters. Or the cheapest option going.
Would a good manager really want to work for Jenkins (liar) and an absent owner (Lai). The 2 first choices are getting more money for gardening leave then Jenkins want to pay for a full time position. The sooner Liar and Lai are gone the better.

It's looking more like some of the old boys Pearson / McInnes / Shakey / Appy will be coming until the end of the season.
Madness IMO if we get promoted they will have to stay on, If we don't a new manager will have to start from scratch with a major
summer rebuild. Jenkins needs to be removed or we will continue to fall from grace. The time for cheap options and penny pinching
is not now and £40 - £50 million will be needed in the summer.

How about this guy for a left-field appointment; Achim Beierlorzer.

Head Coach at Jahn Regensburg in the German 2nd division. German, 51 years old, is from the Ralf Rangnick mould of style and was his assistant at RB Leipzig in the 2015/2016 season when Leipzig were promoted to the Bundesliga. When Hässenhuttl took over, Beierlorzer took over the under-19’s.

He took over at Regensburg in the summer of 2017 when Heiko Herrlich got the Bayer Leverkusen job. Regensburg had been promoted to the 2. Bundesliga through the play-offs beating 1860 München and then lost their two best players when Beierlorzer came in. Last season Regensburg finished in 5th and this season they are currently in 8th, 10 points from 3rd place. Beierlorzer’s spending on transfers in almost two years as Regensburg boss is less than half a million euros.

He has built a squad that can play a multitude of ways. The system is mainly 442 which becomes a 4411 out of possession and 2422 in possession with the full backs bombing on and the wingers tucking inside almost as double 10’s. The style of play is mixed and combines passing football through the lines and long ball up to the two big strikers who nod it down to the 2 wingers to play from there. Out of possession it’s press high when the opposition have the ball in defence and then retreat into a solid shape when they come forward into the Regensburg half.

The best result of the season so far was the 5-0 demolition of promotion favourites Hamburg in Hamburg.

Totally agree Beefy. A sensible and well run board would have done their homework and sussed out salary and other conditions before sacking the current manager. Why do we always go arse about face.?
