He does an awful lot of things right. I've always said he does. Baffles and frustrates me though (as you know). Great result for us today - thanks we needed that. Especially against the seals.  Big Grin

Worldclass, your well within in rights to criticize Big Dave, he makes strange decisions and team selections, how else can we be so unbeatable away but have such a poor, in comparison, home record. He does not get it all right, and maybe with a more experienced coach we could have walked this league, but maybe without BD's motivation we could just as easily be battling Sjoke and Swansea in the bottom half of the league. It's not always pretty, it does not always work, at the moment we are in the mix to go straight back up despite the lack of support from the owner and chairman ...... if and its a big if we go up we need a major overhaul. For all his mistakes and inexperience he has an ageing squad in the mix ..... who knows what's to come .... enjoy the victory today and hope we cross the line in May as a greed league member.

Every view is valid and every opinion deserves to be aired and discussed without ridicule, derision and vitriol.

My opinion, which is only mine, is that we are better off than I expected after the transfer window in August and BD is doing an okay job .... not setting the world on fire but I have seen worse.

Too right, a Pulis team would have put 34 past the seals today, even a Pardew team would have scored 17, DM has not got a clue, only won by 2 at the 'Hall of Memory', utter rubbish. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

So insults and ridicule of DM before a ball has been kicked is ok. Criticism of those who call DM clueless is out of order? Moore isn’t perfect but he’s actually doing ok.

If this is aimed towards me, I have broad shoulders however I haven't said that. I said people's views and opinions are valid and just as entitled to be aired and discussed. I am a supporter of Albion, the manager, the players and our fans. There is never a time when insults are acceptable and usually indicate a losing argument. Everybody has a right to their opinion but it is just that their opinion, for or against. Caring is not a crime nor is worrying, we're in difficult times and we do not know what restrictions BD is working under and to. I have said before let's accept and understand different opinions and agree to disagree.

I will try to play peace maker no more.

4EVA I have only ever found you fair and unbiased - I don't think anything was being pointed at you.
These maybe directed at me, i'm free to criticise DM & GJ when I believe they are making stupid errors, I'm also man enough to admit when they get things right and when i'm talking out of my own arse. Darren has some tremendous qualities that no other person could bring to the table. What I find almost impossible to accept is poor decisions and the same mistakes again and again. And the inexperienced excuse - I just don't care if he has only had the managers title for less then a year. He's seen more football then any of us. It's his job 24/7 for 35 years. Some see this as an acceptable excuse for basic mistakes I'm sorry I don't, but that's just me. It's like the "Legend" status - not in my book. Fair player in his day, loves the baggies, trains the kids, earns millions of pounds, that don't equal legend status. Today is the first time DM & GJ have used a park the bus system to protect a lead, in hindsight more points could have been on the bored if we had done this a few more times in the past. 4 - 3 - 3 needs adjusting to suit who your playing as today clearly showed.
All I will say in my defense is I have advocated our saving grace will be our youngsters and they should have more game time. I was slaughtered for suggesting the old guard be used as a supporting role and the way forward was to play the Harpers - Fields - Edwards - Leko's. I detested the signings of the Mears, Hoolahans, Sako's - The inability to change things during games when it's obvious to all, drives me mad. The use / non use of subs drives me mad, giving goals away immediately a substitution is made drives me mad. The loyalty to the old guard is beyond a joke although I feel that is fading now.
The pathetic transfer spending and an absent uninterested owner drives me mad, a recruitment team who promise to contribute and give nothing to the cause, have disappointed me to say the least. Jenkins conning us with we have money to spend and will do our transfer business early speeches have turned me against him. I have tried not to comment on DM personally for weeks now as my opinions are seen as negative and controversial. Through all of this Darren has kept us in contention and he deserves credit for this. I hold my hand up and expected us to be mid table and Stoke to be top, funny old world this football game is.

I am in Moscow. Tried to avoid the score as I think I am a jinx.

Spotted half time score and became very worried that I’d f it up. But came out of bar tonight to find it has all been worth it.

I need to pretend I am not interested. We win when I do that.

Owh everyone, try not to be so prickly, especially when we've won!
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and to post it; equally, everyone is entitled to post a different view, and as long as it's not done in an insulting way we are all one big, happy family
(where's the kissing emoji, Stairs? )
