An interesting post again reduced to smut and 'gobbing' off as someone calls it.

Without knowing if foreign players and agents wages are taxed over here or that money is 'lost' abroad, some form of deduction automatically deducted from transfers and wages over a certain sum could go into a 'pot' for distribution among lower leagues?
This I know is unfair to the most talented players, but would at least level the amount paid to players making foreign players consider moving to the UK and give more of a chance to our local born players.

There will I know be people who will poo-poo this idea, and have their reasons for doing so, so what alternatives can they come up with before transfer figures get so stupid only a few teams can pay them without getting into debt or put up the gate prices?

BBB, we're there already, when even academy players are too expensive for 75-80% Of clubs and only six teams have a realistic chance of winning trophies and 2 - 3 have a chance of being champions, then it's too late.
We're not going to he'll in a handcart, we've arrived and we took the euro star ..... ffp rules, my arse, only apply to 86 clubs ...

Time to blame Brexit!!

Why not.....it gets blamed for everything else.

Recently saw an article that said Brexit could result in a lot of marriage break ups.

There will be a few blokes who hope so!

On a serious note, assuming we ever get around to leaving the EU 4th Reich, what effect would that have on European players plying their trade over here???

 Interesting 4eva, however what's the answer to 'payments and tax' and a % paid into a kitty or alternatives, as we'll need them when rules change after Brexit.

Bbb, don't have the answers, but it's too late to fix it, the FA, greed league and sky have already stitched it up so that the status quo is maintained and the elite gentlemen's club (top 6) can not be challenged or unseated .... sky continue to grow their profits and the fat cats in charge of football keep lining their pockets ....

It's refreshing to see those occassions when fans of clubs get so peed off with something major within THEIR club that they protest in a meaningful way. I think Coventry, certainly Bolton and the fans of a few such clubs have turned up to games, demonstrated against whatever, and not gone in.
I admire the fact that they still go, and feel strongly that it's THEIR club, and by peaceful protest they can change things.

It would take so much effort to coordinate, but wouldn't it be fantastic if a protest amongst all club's supporters against "the theft of football from the working man (and woman!)" could be held - boycotting the grounds for, say, a month!
Would it be possible /make any difference?

Blackpool are the best example, Drewks. Their fans were as passionate as any some years ago when they got in the Prem, but the vast majority now boycott Home games - but still follow them Away - in protest at Oyston giving himself £11m when the Prem money came in.

Getting ALL Supporters to unite would be difficult, though. If some cockney fans tried to unite Geordies, for example, it would fall on deaf ears, I feel. But it would be great if it did happen - and I think it would work.

Top six fans would not unite, why would they, they are the beneficiaries of sky, the greed league and the UEFA / FA bias which has allowed them to build up such a strangle hold on football that many of their fans could not find their team's home town let alone their stadium on a map if their lives depended on it.
Real fans don't matter to the higher earning teams as their cash provides little in terms of income so as to make it insignificant.

Real fans don't matter to any team in the Premier League from a financial perspective!! Sure some teams and owners still care about their fans, including teams in the top 6, but that is only for non-financial reasons. Ticket sales pale into insignificance for the PL teams because of the TV money, I would bet Bournemouth make less than 10m from ticket sales but rake in over 100m from tv money. As far as I am aware Huddersfield are the only club that offer season tickets at vastly reduced prices simply because they recognize that that money is insignificant in the whole scheme of things compared to other revenue streams. Of course once they go back down to the EFL, that will have to change as ticket sales revenue becomes the biggest revenue stream down there!!!! That's why you see clubs, including SWFC, charging far more than some PL teams do, they have to maximise that revenue to make ends meet in the Championship when the TV money dries up!!
