FA Cup 2019
#11
Apparently this game has been picked for "foreign broadcast" so kicks off at 12.30pm on Saturday 5th January. Tickets priced at £10 and £5 for concessions. £1 for under 18's.
Is there any chance we could have a home game kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon in 2019? I am getting really p****d off with games being moved for tv!

Man U v Reading on TV on 3rd round weekend. What a load of tripe.
Unbelievable I really can't see why people want to see this, I mentioned above earlier no TV company surely will show it...

Games gone .... Angry

After years of meekly bowing out of the cup at the earliest opportunity, this is one season when the world's oldest knockout competition does feel like a distraction that Albion can ill afford. With a paper-thin squad, we're barely hanging on to the coat-tails of the promotion race, and can't afford any more injuries or suspensions going into next week's huge six-pointer against Norwich.

That said, there's always something special about it, and if we can make it through with a second string side then it's all to the good. But there's no doubting where the focus has to be over the next ten days.

Had it confirmed from FA that Jake Livermore is suspended for next four games, including FA Cup match with Wigan. Albion do not plan to appeal because of risk of getting him banned for longer #wba
4 games because of recieving 2nd red card of the season !!

I hope we rotate the squad a little to freshen things up.

Johnstone
Holgate - Dawson - Bartley - Townsend
Barry
Phillips - Harper - Hoolahan - Sako
Rodriguez

Subs - Myhill, Tosin, Gibbs, Brunt, Morrison, Barnes, Robson-Kanu

I'd think about giving Holgate this game to get settled in. Especially if the alternative is Mears.

Next week is too important to take any unnecessary risks. Start with a different 11 with a stronger bench. If Barnes is still with us, bring him on in the 94th minute to get him cup-tied!
Myhill
Holgate ( for match fitness)
Fitzwater (now back from Walsall)
Bartley
Townsend.

Field
Harper
Brunt

Hoolahan

Sako
HRK (or Burke/Edwards if Gayle is unlikely to be fit for next week)

What is this business with Jack Fitzwater??? He was on loan at Walsall, we recall him to play in this game and have told Walsall, they can then have him back for the rest of the season. Is our squad really that thin that we need to do this and if it is surely we need to keep him anyway.

From Walsall FC:

"Jack Fitzwater has been recalled by Albion for their FA Cup tie against Wigan, after which he will rejoin Walsall on loan until the end of the season."

It's an odd one, but the o/s makes it sound more of a regular mid-season assessment. They've called Kane Wilson back as well with a view to then loaning him elsewhere for the 2nd half of the season.
Vaguely linked, what's happened to that bloke Bond we signed as a keeper in the summer? Worse than Myhill? Does he ever get a game at any level?

Interesting tho...... would there be any condition (in the loan agreement) that we don't play him in the cup? Or maybe a quick one threatened now, that if we do play him they WILL recall him??
