First hour was even stevens, we probably even shaded it a bit. Last half-hour was desperately poor though, and we couldn't have complained if it had ended 3-1. No apparent plan except sideways pass, sideways pass, hoof into the channels. Got out of jail at the end.

As for J-Rod... well, it'll give them lot summat else to moan about for the next few years Rolleyes

I have to Say Darren Moore again showed lack of Ideas with Subs
Barry wad knackered as was Morrison on Monday
Yet he choose to take Livermore off and put Brunt in the middle with Barry.
Let that sink in,
Look at what Smith has done with Villa in six weeks compared to what Bruce did.
I wanted Smith in the summer and nothing has changed my view on that,
Pleased with Moore to a certain degree but my his subs are so Naive Doh

I'm not pleased with Darren - just more of the same. We were crying out for subs as the Seals were piling forward. Barry was looking tired so he took Livermore off. When they scored he took a defender off and but Burke on with 8 minutes left. He didn't bother with his 3rd sub as normal.
How long do you have to be involved with football before you are no longer inexperienced or naive?  Sick

Well we got out of jail with that "lucky" equaliser in injury time. Mind you, if Grealish hadn't have sat down several times during the second half there wouldn't have been that much injury time!
Their first goal was as extremely fortunate deflection, but our first goal and their second were good goals.
Yet again Darren was not quick enough with substitutions. Players were visibly tired after 65 minutes and fresh legs were needed then. Obviously Monday night was taking it's toll.
Interesting stats though to all those who thought the Vile had outplayed us. BOTH teams had 14 shots with 6 on target. A draw a fair result?
Now we have 7 days to re-charge our batteries before heading up to Sheffield.
Onwards and upwards! Boing Boing!

I think Darren needs to learn to use the squad more. Using the same 13 or 14 players every match is not good for fatigue of the starters and the morale of the players who are not being used enough. Very soon it is Christmas when we will have 4 matches in 10 days.

Please learn to rotate the squad Darren.

I must admit I m getting a little worried about the non-rotation of players, and should 1/2 get injured with the others not having game time can make a difference to our performances - especially over X'mas.

Hope the January window will bring in decent players or start using our reserves/youngsters.

The numbers are equal, but I think their chances were more clear-cut. That Abraham miss in the six-yard box was pivotal.

I do think that across the ninety minutes the balance of play was about 60/40 in Villa's favour; enough that we couldn't have complained if they'd won, but also close enough to an even game that no-one can really argue our snatching a point was totally undeserved or out of the blue.

Your correct Josh - He "can't see that coming though"
Why does Darren need to learn this? - and before you say because he isn't doing it - the question is deeper then that?
He's either "Scared" of making a mistake or he has no "common sense" or worse still he is just "plain stupid".
He can't even use all of his substitutes, never mind the timing of, it all appears to beyond his thinking  - with the amount of recent international breaks no players should be fatigued at the moment. I suppose they could be excused if carrying injuries. Either way it's not getting the best from his squad and it's certainly not a Jenkins / Lai problem.
And how long do you think the inexperienced / naive excuse can be used. Personally after 30 years as a professional footballer, squad rotation, line ups, substitutions, timing, tactics are all basics that you learn in the first years of your apprenticeship. Becoming a manager opens up legal / paperwork / contracts / etc but nothing of the actual physical game changes. Every time I hear or see this excuse now - it's just someone confirming he has messed up again, maybe messed up is a poor choice of words. Lets say did not make the best or obvious choice.
It's almost every poster on various boards saying exactly the same thing - followed with the "he needs more time to learn" He is 27 league games" as a manager in now - How much time does he need? another 27 games? - Is it only me that's see's how mad this thinking actually is, it like burying your head in the sand theory? Darren will never make it as a manager - he has many great qualities (that's why we love him) but decision making - forget it.  Doh

After today’s results we are down to 5th and 6 points off 2nd placed Leeds. Norwich are 1 point further ahead of Leeds.

In the New Year I expect Leeds to suffer Bielsa syndrome and start to wobble before finding consistency again. Norwich will also undoubtedly have a bad spell because they haven’t had one yet.
