With the League Cup done and dusted for another year, we turn our attention back to the Championship, where we sit in the unlikely position of third, largely courtesy of Messrs Barnes and Gayle. Away trips have been our Achilles heel so far this season, but we have to look to try and pick up three points at Deepdale on Saturday against bottom side Preston.

It's likely to be a sterner challenge in the week when we hop over the Pennines for a Wednesday Wednesday at Hillsborough. A point would be welcome in what promises to be a tricky fixture.

Hopefully we can get another win and notch up a few more goals here, Preston are in a dreadful run of form, we just need to do our best to keep the pressure on Leeds and Boro, so we're ready when they slip up, fingers crossed Wednesday will do us a favour tonight.

Big game tomorrow now ....... both Fridays games ended in draws, a win over north end will put us into the top two and increase our lead over vile ...... Wednesday on Wednesday will be a tough ask, they have / would of had two home games and an extra days rest, we have two away games and a days less rest but two wins would really set us up for the winter push and with us having Leeds on the near horizon

Livermore captain?.......... Let's hope this gives him a boost.
I thought he was a cracking player with Spurs, but he's looked worse than useless since with Hull, England, and us.

Don't get this passing the captaincy round, Brunt when he's in the team or comes on, Dawson and now Livermore Huh

I'd guess they're just looking for the right man and haven't found him yet. Anyone know if Phillips is injured/what injury?

So no Phillips so where is Burke? Surely a winger down so Burke should be starting or at least on the bench. I don’t understand what BD is thinking sometimes with his team selection and use of Subs.

Oh well let’s see. Just think sometimes he can’t see what thousands of others can but he’s the manager so we have to trust his judgement.

Worldclass, he may not see what thousands of others can see but he also sees what thousands of others don't ...... training and attitude. hope their is not a problem with either.
