Sky are still reporting "Bartley" is signing before the weekend. (3.5M)
Big risk - hardly had a game last year due to injuries, but had a good season at Leeds in 2016/17
Will either be a bargain or the new hydropool ball boy.

West Brom are interested in signing English attacking midfielder Kemar Roofe, 25, from Leeds. (Birmingham Mail)
DD
Even worse Darren Moore has just been asked about the over 30's on trial, "I wont rule anybody out if they Impress, and one or two of them have"
These signs coming from the club are really worrying going back in for players like Roofe and Sawyers is baffling add to the dads army above and James Collins 34 never have i been so worried about our club,
4 Weeks today the Window slams shut and if this is the best we can come up with another relegation battle is on the horizon,
I think we can now see Why Jenkins came out and used this PR stunt early in the season,
"We have learned from our mistakes and will have players in to integrate with the squad when preseason starts and hit the ground running"
Bravo Jenkins you certainly sold a lot of season tickets of the back of that comment
And this is my opinion but I'm afraid Big Dave has been hung out to dry, Looks like a Yes man and this is going to only end one way, I said it at the time but Moore should not have been given the Job, Even a Dean Smith would never have let this looking at a Journey man thing happen, and we would have had a team of hungry youngsters forn Brentford in by now who just narrowly missed out on the play offs,
Am I worried you bet I am, Just 4 weeks to prove me wrong WBA

Excellent post. Anyone with an ounce of sense can see the majority of any transfer money and the 95million from the PL is going
to be going to our Chinese owners and Jenkins will be getting his 10% - No chance we are going to invest it in the squad.
Darren, nice guy as he is, the best thing he could do is resign as he ain't got a chance. I did really want Dave to be a success.
If he thinks he's got a chance he's a fool. After getting no quality players (and more to leave), hell he still ain't got his assistant and the scouts have not been replaced. Fingers crossed he gets lucky and proves me wrong. Personally IMO its all too late now the damage is done.
I feel for the fans. We had a chance to sign players, but they went elsewhere. Its all a shambles.
I'm getting to the stage where the owners / mgt don't care so my interest is at an all time low to be honest.
WBA is in the blood so no getting away from it I will always care.

I think we are seeing right now that Big Dave needs a very good Sporting Director above him finding targets so Big Dave can focus on his coaching duties.
To me it seems like Big Dave doesn’t have many proper targets of his own hence Sawyers and Roofe being linked with returns to the club and the free players we have on trial. The way we are going, our young players are going to be bigger players for us than we expected them to be.

Hi Josh, good evening sir - your right of course and i'm really disappointed with events.
I believe Garlick leaves this week? so that's another vacancy to fill.
Dave is just being used, I love him to bits but without support i'm afraid he's done for.
Just can't see a way out of the mess we are in.
I will be glad the youngsters will have a chance, that's a positive.

I seem to remember that JP was only going to sell his controlling share of the club to someone that he was convinced would be good for the club. Say what you like about JP but I believe that this was genuine - we all know that he was a proper fan, too.
I'm just throwing this in as I feel it's too early to start accusing the owner of not supporting BD, bleeding the club dry, etc. JP was no mug; 'due diligence' and all that would've been carried out before the takeover.
I agree that the signs aren't brilliant right now, but let's not be too hasty in our judgements - I'm sure 95% of fans are feeling the same, irrespective of the club they follow
(.... he says, hopefully)

Please ignore me i'm just disappointed at the real lack of honesty and activity from the club.
I'm not one to be carried away with today's news either.
Why would I - a Swansea Center Half who can't get a game for them, who has an awful injury record over the last 12 months.
and you have to ask Why o Why would a major competitor would sell us a good CH anyway and for such little money?
Then further news of bids for a new goalkeeper who is 3rd choice at Sheffield Utd is never going to excite me. If anything I was
happier with Alex Palmer being No2 - I bet he's jumping for joy being pushed down the order?
Having no assistant mgr - DOF - Scouts - etc, etc is a crime after all this time.
We are scraping the barrel with signings - Darren has some "Dad's Army" he can call on if it get desperate, another joke really.
As for JP he was / is a clever guy, but when the new owners wouldn't even cover the small overdraft? (well according to Jenkins, but I wouldn't trust nothing that he says) that clearly demonstrated how much financial support they would be contributing. (NOTHING)

Reality check time.
In case anyone has forgotten we got relegated last season and face a drastic reduction in our income (yes, even with the parachute payments). We will still have one of the highest wage bills in the Championship and as a result, as it stands, we were never going to be investing huge sums in our playing staff.
At present we have sold 2 players and bought one - if the Bartley transfer goes through, our spend to date will be above our transfer income. The other players who have been released were, at best, bit part players and can be replaced by our youngsters coming through - I for one would rather see the likes of Field, Fitzwater, Leko etc on the bench than Yacob, Macauley, Myhill etc, good players though they may have been (note the past tense).
All indications are that we will only sell other players if we get an acceptable offer - and in that case nothing has happened to say they wouldn't be replaced, if rumours are true generally with younger players. Yes they may not be "proven" Premier League quality but based on last season neither are the ones likely to leave.
In addition according to the E&S, the release clauses on Rondon, Hegazi and Chadli expire before the transfer window deadline, so we shouldn't be left with last minute holes in the squad.
So some old, out of contract pros are training with us.....just like as happened most years without us signing any of them. It's normal, we haven't signed anyone so why get so upset?
For my final rant, anyone with an "ounce of sense" will know that the vast majority of our money from TV or transfers will go on paying our wages bill and player purchases. If anyone knows of how our owners will magically salt away significant funds back to China, I suggest they contact HMRC.
Chill everyone, wait until we see what the squad looks like at the end of August before moaning. As it stands today, it looks pretty strong to me.

Still no excuse for Jenkins saying we will have new players in before training to hit the ground running,
We have no one at the top to recommend players , Tarrenteno was supposed to do that but we decided to tell him to do one, no assistant or number 2 , just read we will by vydra if Rondon or Jrod is sold where as Jenkins also said we wouldn't have to sell to buy
All bullshit from Jenkins but we have sold more tickets than at this time last season, so yeh things could change but glad your optimistic Zinny put the pop down
Also just found out Bartley who we are signing hardly played due to injury last season so let's keep our fingers crossed on that one
Why would our direct competition sell us a CB ? Interesting times
