And your point is? At least Oldham are still in the football league.

We're not Coventry, or Blackpool or Torquay. We're not Orient or Alton Towers, but we've been on a roller-coaster ride for years now. It's not just an Allen thing, but it's hard to assess how much it is going to hurt when you are still falling.
This sounds like a typical Daily Mail Johnnie Foreigner piece. Obviously it's inconceivable that anyone speaking French could fit in in Oldham. After all Oldham's the proper north and everyone up there didn't have time for French at school; they were too busy eating chip butties and salad cream, and bunking off school to be abused by elderly football coaches with a ready supply of puppies in various secluded locations. If you can't do a reasonable Noel Gallagher you obviously can't play well at Oldham can you?

True, but at least our staff are paid on time .At this rate Oldham won't have a team in any league .The most worrying time for a club is when staff aren't getting paid ,it happened to us under Darren Brown but has never happened under Dave Allen despite all the crap that's gone off

Who was it who said it he doesn't care if a mass murderer owns and runs his club but then opens a post with be careful what you wish for? The truth is probably that somebody is a bit upset because the Pewka Pies have been replaced with filled croissants and baguettes.

Heinz haven't changed its name yet Matt. (If people are buying it now to put on sandwiches, why will changing its name make more people buy it? Might it not just make the 14% who put it on salads switch to mayonnaise?)
Only when we've hit our rock bottom, we'll know how much it hurt. I haven't liked it so far but I can see Stockport, York and Darlington below. How much won't I like being them I wonder. We've had some good times under Dave Allen, but we thought we were having good times under Darren Brown for a while too. Just not being Hitler isn't quite enough to win you a stupid Nobel prize ....... but Aung San Suu Kyi is testing even that theory to destruction.

I don't care if Attila the Hun becomes the new owner as long as we are successful on the pitch and the bills are paid .That's all that matters isn't it ?.

Yes it certainly made people think Salad Cream Matt.
I do care about ownership, because it eventually dictates what happens administratively and on the pitch. Our descent into random decision making off-the-field has absolutely been reflected on-field. DA's problem seems to be self-love. He expects the whole club to be a mirror, but like the Wicked Queen he's come realise he isn't Snow White and he doesn't like it. So now we're relying on the dwarves. Hi ho. Hi ho. Hi ho. |
