For fox ache.

I hope that JRod sues the bloke, AND the FA,  WHEN this is found not proven

Agreed - complete and utter defamation of character if found to be innocent.

That's an easy way out wiltshire, I wouldn't want you sitting on a jury, just because an accusation is made, surely doesn't mean that there has to be some truth in it. False accusations are made every day, and truth most times proves them to be exactly that - false. But by then, like you have, some will already have made their minds up Sad

I think we are better off waiting until the final case is done and the facts are revealed before going to over board with a reaction to the charge. He still has to be proven guilty.

If Rodriguez is found guilty then the club will deal with him. If he is found not guilty then I hope Bong gets the book literally thrown at him. (Is that now deemed as racist?(!))

Thing is josh , JRod has just found some form, I reckon this will weigh down on his shoulders guilty or not and we may have lost our striker for the rest of the season.
Just hope it's dealt with Quickly and JRod can continue to score some goals, unfortunately I can see it going the other way Confused

'No smoke without fire' is a dreadful statement to make! JRod is actually innocent until proven guilty. Like others have already said the race card is so easy play and mud sticks. I for one do not believe the allegation and sincerely hope bong is suitable punished when this is all done and dusted.

Your faith in the objectivity of the FA is rather greater than mine. If he is found guilty on a judgemental, "balance of evidence" (i.e. we believe one person's version over another's) basis, I hope that the club and Jay take this as far as possible. Unfortunately I suspect the FA, after recent racism and sexism issues, will be keen to prove their PC credentials by assuming guilt unless otherwise proven.

On that point ...........
Anyone remember accusations and a near punch up in the Liverpool V Everton game..
FA taking any action over this ?
Have the FA come up with any charges or otherwise regarding Firmino/Holgate yet? That happened before JRod/Bong incident

Just found this , the incident happened on January the 5th !!

An FA probe into allegations of racism during this month’s derby looks set to drag on into a fifth week, the ECHO understands.

The governing body are investigating claims Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino racially abused Everton defender Mason Holgate during the FA Cup third round tie at Anfield on January 5.

Firmino reacted angrily after Holgate pushed the Reds forward over the advertising hoardings and the pair had to be pulled apart by referee Bobby Madley and team-mates.

Holgate then exploded with rage after Firmino said something to him.
The following day the FA confirmed that Madley was made aware of an allegation and included the incident in his match report.

But almost Four weeks on the investigation has yet to be concluded.

An FA statement earlier in the month said: “The FA can confirm that referee Bobby Madley was made aware of an allegation during the Liverpool versus Everton game at Anfield last night and has subsequently reported this to The FA, which will now begin making enquiries into the matter.”

Jay Rodriguez's agent Gary Mellor: "Someone needs to seriously look at these types of charges... on the basis of one person's word. This has devastated Jay and his family. Serious and disgusting allegations... can taint someone's life forever, even if he is later cleared." #WBA
