Takeover

I must say I'm with Dancing in that if the club said nothing about anything, fans could handle that, but it is the "random" leaks that give a bit of a story and can sometimes be traced back to the club itself ........ that cause rumours and give scope to speculation as both decent people and the badly-motivated try to make sense of the situation.

The buy-out really should be secret until it is at least at the stage of completion. If we ever reached the point at which the fans owned the club THEN total transparency in all matters would be appropriate .......... but as things stand ....... well all that happens is speculation is manipulated to create controversy, news and further speculation from which only the media and speculators benefit.

And of course it doesn't help that the club is pointlessly secretive on unimportant matters like what's happening with Brewster and Briggs ...... so they're training everybody to speculate on everything!

So Delial's off to Chorley in National League North for the rest of the season ,I guess if he was good enough a league club would have snapped him up.He's only 20 so time on his side, a bit like Ricky G.

Chorley play Kidderminster tonight. We OUGHT to be there as Kiddie have at least four players worth considering for us - Ironside, a striker - several EFL clubs are watching him, Sonupe, Ngwatala and Croasdale in midfield. Bet we have no one there. Maybe we can ask Delial's opinion.

Not rising to the bait on Ricky! No decent fishing holes in Holmewood, not even Ling's.

So Haydn Hollis goes to Forest Green.

That's two new centre backs they've got now ....... and Reuben Reid's straight into the goals up front.

IMO we can forget about finishing above them. We've got to find two other willing volunteers for 23rd and 24th place.

@GrahamSmyth Ashley Carson says another group have made noises about a potential takeover. Meetings have taken place. The interest from the 'Chinese firm' seems to have faded, in his opinion #Spireites

I honestly don't know what to make of Carson ,he's either a lying deceitful person who is deliberately driving the club down or is just useless .
Either way since he came to the fore we have slid down the leagues and the crowds have dropped by 30% .His overseeing of any takeover looks disastrous and the sooner he gets out of the club the better.

If we go down I don't think the club will survive and that is pretty worrying.

We are where we are because we are the worst club overall. We may have the most personable manager and he might even be the most able, but he can't do much perched on top of a dung heap even if it looks like a lovely stadium. If he saves us, what then? Does he, like Danny, find he's expected to do the same impossible job again .......and again ..... until we finally find a new kind of Caldwell to take us down?

Although it'll dry up some income streams is going down what we should be worrying about? Isn't being a dung-heap disguised as a football club the heart of the matter?

I feel sorry for JL and could honestly see this scenario developing when he was appointed. He was 6 months to early. he's to much Mr Nice Guy. We should have given somebody a 6 month contract worth double of he kept us up. I know you don't agree but somebody like Ronnie Moore who has done it before several times. Money makes people tick in football because bottom line is they are all greedy bastards. JL could then have had the summer to bring in a team and start from scratch next season.

Just listened to the interview with Toby Perkins re the takeover and he says there was a small disagreement which in his opinion escalated to the deal breaking down.That just suggests to me what a stubborn and difficult man DA is .If he was desperate to sell surely he would be moving mountains to make it happen ,not let a small disagreement scupper the whole thing.I'm surprised he's ever done any deals in the past.There was also a lack of communication at a certain time, which, to me is astonishing,there should have been constant dialogue .Perkins thinks we are in a very serious situation .
