So AC has decided to reply to the rumours through the medium of the official club site
The thing that strikes me is if they are haggling for three months over 5/10 million quid the new owners aren't exactly stinking rich and arent going to throw money at it .

Nothing statement on a day a town fan saw AC at the station catching a train with Evo, who was off to see a specialist.

I reckon this deal is as likely as Mrs May naming Jean-Claude Juncker in her cabinet.

The club never tells us anything even when it makes a statement, so no wonder 90% of them get 90% of the stuff wrong. When I think about it 90% of the stuff concerning Chesterfield is beyond me. Maybe I'm just thick.

You're not thick Dev,you're an intelligent guy, just try not to speculate too much because If you're wrong it makes a fool of you.As it does all those other posters on BB ,some more than others .
I like to deal in facts as much as possible but I can understand why people do speculate ,its human nature but it does expose lack of intellect sometimes when they are wildly off the mark.I admit trying to decipher the lies from the facts and misguided opinions on the internet is not easy.
One piece of information from BB that I do think is probably right is that AC wasn't going to London with Evo but was representing the club at Sally Swains hearing .

Blame social media. Everybody expects instant news and if they don't get that gratification they start to jump to conclusions and you end up with half baked thoughts coming out as rumours.
Re the buy out, everybody expects to be kept up to date and even though it should be kept in house until completed, the club is like a sieve with 1 or 2 in the know and an egomaniac director who just cant help himself, its a recipe for disaster and another 100 page thread on BB.

Blue I've no idea whether this is old news recycled that just reached Sky or real news. Every element of the story is old hat except that it says it is current, so maybe it is .........

Funniest thing I saw on Bob's the other day was a fan keen on this deal who can't wait to get the Sheffielders out of the club. So, we like unknown people from thousands of miles away whose good faith and motives we don't understand more than our neighbours up the road .......... Sheffield out China in certainly isn't insular, but it's a bit too global even for me.

Our debt'll be gone, but they might not find playing in blue too auspicious.

Its Lyall Thomas who has put this out think hes a fan or his dad was .Im not sure either if its an updated story or just old news .Think ill stick with yesterdays official line .
