To be fair to him mate he has inherited a team who were numbed into playing defensive football........
Lumbered with ageing players, lumbered with a team that has no pace, and lumbered with a team of Championship players,
Nyom, Livermore, Mclean HRK just to name a few,
All one man's fault this, add into the boards failure to address the age problem from Years ago Pep would have failed to keep this lot up Sad

I'm afraid I share Dingle's pessimism and hibeejim's realism and believe we're going down. I see nothing that is going to miraculously change what has been a season/a year of disappointment and poor football. I know Leicester escaped about 3 years ago but they had Vardy and Mahrez, whereas we have Robson-Kanu and Livermore. It's not gonna happen.

Too simple an explanation for what's a much more complex situation that one man's fault.

If I had to sum it up in a sentence, I'd say our current predicament is down to A) not attracting a world class manager because B) we were/are guilty of penny pinching and short term-ism in regards to the squad because of C) Peace ran us as a money making business first and foremost to make us appear more appealing to someone looking to buy the club from him.

If we do stay up by some miracle, be prepared to see the same mindset and approach again from the new owners too. The FC is nothing but a vehicle for raking in the TV money to them.

I find it ironic that our last match to regain top flight status after 16 years out was Palace at Home, 16 years later it is Palace away to maintain our top flight status ....... ouch!

Have faith in our best 11 ......... we can do it

Second 11 due to injuries/ suspensions ........ we can't do it.

Forget Kinver Edge, forget Wenlock Edge ............  massive massive knife edge.

COME ON YOU BAGGIES ........ do it for Cryille without the pressure of yesterday.

Kinver edge is full of dog shit. Just been up and Facebook on meltdown about it. Bags of dog shit everywhere

My heart says we will pull it off, my head says we have two hopes, no hope and Bob Hope.

On the positive side though looking at the players who would leave should we be relegated, we would have a pretty good Championship side left.

Looking at forthcoming fixtures and trying to predict our results is just impossible......who would've predicted us beating a full strength Liverpool away - and then crumbling at home to Southampton as we did yesterday?!

The only predictable thing about us is, yup, our unpredictability. (Well, it always has been, over the years, losing from winning positions has become our speciality recently.)

Looking at the remaining games I think we could get about 16 points......but it could be 22 - or just as easily 8!

I'm still very hopeful, mainly because there are still so many equally average teams just a few points away from us. AP HAS got us playing better - albeit without the reward in points which is basically all that counts. If we can get and keep our best players fit I really think we can still survive, so I'm voting that way.

Can't see anything but relegation. My only hope is that, like 4eva, my predictions are as accurate as Bobby Zamora.

I hope I'm wrong, but I can only see us going down now.

We need 2 wins without the sides above us getting a win just to get back with the pack. We've only won 3 all season and I think the improvement under Pardew has been nominal. I certainly haven't seen anything to suggest we could put together a winning streak.

Effectively, we have to win every home game except Spurs and grab a win or 2 on the road. At home, we've already failed to beat Palace, Newcastle, Stoke, Watford, West Ham, Everton and Southampton - so I'd be surprised if we can roll over Leicester, Burnley and Swansea. We could easily lose 1 or 2 of those the way we are playing.

In fact, I wouldn't even fancy us against Leicester if everyone is back from injury.

On the road, I just don't fancy us against anyone. We seem to be a soft touch who just can't pinch a result. All of the 6 pointers like Swansea, Stoke, Southampton and West Ham we have lost, while we managed to draw at Everton after leading when their fans were booing their own players because we didn't have the balls to go for the jugular. Even Huddersfield managed to beat us after playing with 10 men for 35 minutes.

The only chance we have is if we finally have a massive slice of luck. Perhaps Chelsea away and they get someone sent off in the first 10 minutes or Utd away and he plays the Under 23 team because they have a Champions League game coming and can't win the title. We need a goalkeeper to throw a few in their own net. We don't have the quality to get out if all things are equal.
