Very good player - doubts with fitness/mindset maybe but he should be fully motivated with the World Cup round the corner  OH.....not confirmed as a done deal yet

Chalk and cheese the speculation between Sturridge and Deeney, always liked Sturridge (when he was not playing against us). Get it over the line boys, mind you £120,000 a week do these 'loan' wages not count against FFP rules?

Don't think it's 100% over the line yet, but BBC and others reporting it as if it's a done deal. Believe it when he's photographed with the shirt in his hands, etc.

Salop, there's a bit about the FFP thing on the link above - seems to suggest if we pay a small up front fee then somehow it's different?! Don't get it myself! Let's hope we can tie this one up - IMO it would be a hugely significant signing in our situation! Hmmmmm.....tricky one... ......Deeney or Sturridge??

Sturridge hasn’t signed anything yet, lots of links saying he’s going to. SSN just reported it could happen tonight. Amazing striker on his day but needs to get his head right as well as his fitness.
Ali Gabr has officially signed on loan as most of you know. 2 very good signings if we can get Sturridge over the line.

I’ve read on Twitter the loan fee paid to Liverpool allows them to pay his wages and we don’t break ffp rules ?clever
