Neil Parsley - defender or defensive midfielder, as I recall, back in the '90s. Quite decent.
Unless he was the one in The Herbs on Watch with Mother.

Graham Potter
Another Potter who played a bit at the end of the 90s but I don’t remember much about him.
The interesting thing is that he is now a top young manager in Sweden and has taken his team from the fourth tier to the Euopa League in successive seasons.
The team is called Ostersunds FK

Last week there were some pretty obscure ones, thanks to DD, Zinman, Silver, Vic, etc.

This Week WBA players past & present whose surnames begin with S:

Don't forget:  you must have seen him play (just to exclude 19th Century etc players who are of no real interest to most) and, just for interest and debate, add a few notes about the player.

Like the TV gameshow Pointless, aim for the most obscure players you can remember, and no peeking at WBA History books.

(Also reminisce about old,not so pointless, "S" players just for fun.)

Here are a couple of "S" players for you
Sandro - our Brazilian midfielder
Derek Statham - the best left back we have ever had - inexplicably kept out of the England team by some crap player by the name of Cherry I believe!
Dick Shepherd - reserve keeper for most of the time.

Nice one, Kenny. I'd forgotten all about Sandro - was hoping he'd be a top player for us.

I was Derek Statham's biggest fan, and he was really unfortunate to be playing at same time as Kenny Sansom. There was nothing to choose between them imo, except that Sansom played for Arsenal. The Arsenal player got 80 caps, and the Albion player got about 5 - just about typical!!

Ricky Sheppard was stand-in for Ray Potter, then Ossie, most of the time, but I'm sure he got to play in the '67 League Cup Final team, and also the '66 Winners (??)

I think he was kept out by an arsenal LB Kenny Sanson ..... Not as goog as Statham but played for a London club, ans then as it is now only the north west and London figure for the FA .....

Sorry talksaft, replied to kennyg before reading your post ..... still say Statham was a better all round left back ....
