This is a good analysis and summary of the match events - it naturally doesn't place Cathro 'in a good light' but it's a 'good read'.

I feel for the lad,i'm not sure to what degree of control he has at hertz. One things for sure levein will hang him out to dry if they go down the table.

Sorry jim I've got to disagree with you over Cathro I feel nothing for him he knew what he was coming to he's worked with levein before so he must know the score.

For years now hertz fans have been in our faces mocking the mess HFC where in even going back to the Hands Off Hibs Campaign they mocked us with no sympathy shown. Everyone knows hertz are crap but their own supporters think otherwise thinking their still up there.

They sit 4th in the SPL and they got off lightly on Wedensday Night we tore them to bits all over the park. So now it's pay back time they deserve everything that comes their way. Yes their fans have stumped up so far and credit to them for that BUT where's the £3 million coming from for the new stand. I don't think their out of the woods yet !

Leanne Dempster takes massive plaudits for what she has done for HFC were now OFFICIALLY EDINBURGH'S BIG TEAM

Good comments and doesn't it just confirm how fickle footie fans can be when it comes to this kinda stuff. The 'boot is on the other foot' now and it's a situation that many JTs will not be accustomed to TBF. I thought a 'defining moment' in Hearts not getting a real 'tanking' was Darren Mac's great headed goal that was disallowed. It would've been 4-0 and I reckon they would've folded at that point and with Hibs absolutely rampant! We've been 'through it' and 'big organisational players' like Leeann have 'proved their worth' in gradually revitalising Hibs as a reputable, progressive footie club. I think Hearts will eventually get there but there are still some organisational and financial obstacles that Budge and her associates will have to redress. I don't believe in the Director of Football idea and I notice that Sevco is looking at that option too. IMO a footie club needs to find a good, accountable manager and that manager 'makes it work' and sets up a successful footie 'project' that is sustainable. Derek McInnes at Pittodrie is a prime example as well as Rodgers at Celtic although he has the benefit of lotsa dosh.

Agreed Fred, just as when Hearts were struggling after Mad Vlad left I gave money to their/ your cause. We need, and most sensible Hearts and Hibs fans will agree, both clubs to be a force otherwise we won't have nights like Wednesday for fans to enjoy whether it is Hibs like this week and in the future Hearts fans when the pendulum swings.......as it will do, that is the nature of football.

I know what you are saying but just purely on a human level I felt sorry for him. Thought he was going to burst oot greating at one point.

Lennon playing that formation totally threw him on Wednesday. And again when we lost Humphrey early on he moved boyle over to take on their dodgy full back.

Think you are right Jim. I think he expected another midfield battle and had tactics and a team to suit. It came a little bit back to him with the injury to Humphrey and Shinnie coming on but didn't seem able to change matters. Having so many newcomers in on short terms etc doesn't work......we should know. Doh
