The highlights follow the ball and pans to the right as you can see the Preston player spitting his dummy out at the linesman, who then flags up to the Ref.. Spineless Official was bullied into pulling play back when the ref had seen nothing..
However, Maxwell nearly takes Buckley's head off in clear view of the referee and doesn't even get a yellow card? That is a shocking decision, the keeper should be marching off FFS. Westwood has seen red for clattering a player like that, this prick stays on the pitch?
The keeper being sent off might have calmed them down, probably resulting in the game changing enough for Beckford & Doyle not seeing red's
I swear to god these Imbeciles in black are worse than they've ever been. It just shouldn't be possible to be that inept with modern technology at your disposal
I followed the play then heard a noise from the fans where the incident happened and the Preston player remonstrating with the linesman, the ref came over and had a brief word then got his red card out and sent Fessi off. According to some fans who saw it, Pearson said or did something to Fessi and Fessi then reacted by shoving his hands in his face which is a red card offense these days.
As for the penalty incident, Maxwell rushed out to punch the ball away but missed the ball and caught Buckley. Me and the fellow fan sat next to me both said yellow card not a red. We were both surprised when he only got a talking to, but the ref wasn't having a good game so I shouldn't have been that surprised.

Cheers, Kev.
I can't abide by the linesman having his decision made for him. He didn't flag until a good several seconds of the Preston player kicking off, bringing play back for something he initially wasn't flagging for. I'm not arguing that Fessi should have stayed on the pitch, if he raised his hands in a players face.. you gotta go I'm afraid.
Their keeper should have seen a yellow at the least. But as you said the ref did not have a good game, This could be noticed without even being at the ground.
More rubbish officiating with no end in sight, that's really what bothers me.

Your fortunate that you only have to listen to it, when your at the game your just shaking your head with some of the decisions the officials give, and its been like that for about 15 years with no end in sight.

the linesman on the South stand side was inept! He watched a Preston player deflect the ball out for a corner not 10 yards in front of him!
He then gave a goal kick!

Not a bad draw really. No one would expect us to win so no pressure.
