It sounds like we're weeks away from administration. I reckon lots of fans will be doing Euromillions especially as the jackpot is a whopping £33 million. The Belgium Spireites have been tweeting a Belgium Billionaire. Other fans have been tweeting Donald Trump.
Unless we get a buyer soon! A supporters club playing in non-league looks likely by the minute.

Brilliant post Dev my thoughts exactly. Biggs is your typical goody goody remainer.
If what he says is correct and Allen allows this to happen then it is truly an act of malice aforethought.

Oy you lot! Just because he's a dickhead doesn't mean he voted to stay in the EU. He probably voted to leave.

Not everyone who voted remain is a dickhead and it does look like the EU may disband anyway.
Back to the football, the club have sold so many players over the last few seasons and they don't have £200k in the bank?
Cooper was sold for £750,000
Darikwa £600,000
Clucas £1.2 million
Doyle £750,000 + add ons
Roberts £50,000
Morsy £150k
and the club would have got paid compo by Portsmouth for Cook.
Also how is the club supposedly losing £200k a month? also why would DA pay off the council loan and help finance it by taking a loan from A&S leisure payable at 5% interest over 10 years and then resign a few months after?

Most clubs have a benefactor its how football is like it or not.If we dont have one it just means will be at a disadvantage with most clubs and therefore will struggle .A fan run club is all well and good but we need substantial money in order to stay in the league.
It will be a sad day if we end up in some makeshift ground playing the likes of alfreton and frickley.and no we wont get good crowds we will be lucky to get 2k .

Matt,
We aren't losing £200k every month its about £100k and Dave Allen is owed £5.5mill by the club. ASLeisure loaned the club the money to pay off the council. That just so happened to remove the only charge held on the ground which was in the name of Chesterfield Borough Council leaving Dave Allen conveniently lord and master of everything.
Simple facts are that with our current wage bill we need average gates of 7000 to break even. This season we have had nothing like that and despite his best efforts DW hasn't been able to offload our big money earners because nobody wants them. Evans and Gbolly will probably go for bog all and whilst fans are boycotting games the situation will just get worse. Until we get rid of the crap at the end of the season things wont improve. However if we go into admin the player contracts could become nul and void...........................

I can't believe Mr Allen helps build us a ground, puts in all the time and work he has as Chairman and is simultaneously willing to see the club go tits by Saturday week. It doesn't make sense. He isn't a young man, who wants to leave a legacy of hatred, and if he did why would he wait all these years before pulling the trigger on us? Surely he has accumulated enough hatred from Sheffield Wednesday fans without adding a few thousand Spires to the army?
Journos, like Remainers, love Project Fear. The next disaster is always big news, and the bigger that disaster the better. Biggs is not an independent observer or reporter - he has an agenda.
Unless and until debts and losses are called in, they don't really matter. Torquay United is likely to hit Administration on the Biggs timescale, because it has a debt about to be called, which it seems to have no way of repaying. We could be like that, but at the moment our directors making statements which say nothing, so we don't know, do we?
If I won Euromillions tonight (and I've got a ticket) my first call would be to Mr Allen. Essentially the club and directors remain an irrelevance. He may not be a director or Chairman, but he remains the man with the power of life and death over the club. I'd want to know what he wants and how he sees the future.
What is happening at the moment is reminiscent of attempting to solve the Syrian conflict by negotiation, without inviting Assad and Putin.

Still £100k too much. We weren't getting 7000 when we got into the playoffs under Cook. Evans and Gboly will go for a fee but it won't be a lot and because other clubs know that Chesterfield is in financial difficulty they will offer peanuts and think we will have to accept as we are desperate, which we are! I think it looks certain we will be nailed on for relegation now. If we go into admin the players are allowed to walk after a certain time period if they aren't getting paid which means we could see the youth team playing.
David Jones, Chris Breeze, Philip Taylor and Alan Goodall have resigned from the board. The only remaining directors are Ashley Carson, John Croot and Michael Warner.

So these are the 4 who opposed DAs proposal so Im logically coming to the conclusion that this will pave the way for DA to return ?
