If you go on the current PC thinking and legislation for hate crime, then you could easily say that every nation, every creed, every religion, every person of a responsible age is a racist.
There are comments and there are off the cuff remarks, Each one should be judged on its own merit with the differing factors of 'the audience', the logic behind it, the comments made, the way in that it was said etc etc.

There are many factors and if any of you on here say that you have NEVER made any comments that could be perceived as racist be it in jest or in anger in you're life YOU ARE A LIAR.

I don't like racism but I also get annoyed with the PC brigade whatever their colour or religion because they have all done it themselves regardless of what they say.

By the way I Have been called many names, some you deal with some you give back, some have been funny. The main Issue is it only takes one person to perceive any comment as racist to start an investigation and for it to be recorded for criming purposes and sometimes you will find that the person it was aimed at doesn't take offence but a passer by might, that's all you need.

I'm not going to get into any argument as just my opinion BUT don't have the cheek and say you have never made any such comments, told jokes, sent texts etc.

Dave Whelan was silly to say the least but a Racist??? I think not. Take it on its merits, apologise and move on as its far to easy to say someone is racist these days. Lets deal with the GENUINE RACISTS.

Spent over twenty years living in Wales and came across lots of racial bias; mainly against the English!! Doh

Emirates Airline pull out of sponsoring FIFA.

McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Sony, Adidas all considering their positions.

German, Dutch, Swedish, Belgian and Danish FA's have joined England FA in demanding full transparency.

Seems the FIFA world is rocking on its corrupt foundations.

Best thing that can possibly happen. When all appeals to integrity fail, money talks. Cut FIFA's income and heads will roll.

How come Blatter hasn't done the honourable thing and resigned? And don't let that puppet Platini anywhere near the President's job.

Those 2 are so anti-English. They won't be happy while the goalposts are 7.3152 metres wide and 2.4384 metres high, and penalties taken from 10.9728 metres from goal. Before long they'll be 8m x 2.5m, and the penalty spot 11m from goal - can't you see it coming?

Sadly this is old news and possibly some journo is trying to make it more exciting that it is. Emirates sponsorship is due to end in December anyway and they are just not renewing it, it is not like they a pulling out. FIFA say they have been aware of the pull out since last March. The other companies have been saying for a while they were unhappy about the way things have been handled, but that is about it at present.

Never fear allegedly Qatar Airways are seriously considering taking on Emirates sponsorship place. Qatar now where have I heard their name in the news recently. Doh

OLSSON TO HAVE SURGERY
Well, old Jonas won't be going anywhere in January. According to BBC Sport:

West Brom centre-back Jonas Olsson will be out for between four to six weeks as he will undergo minor Achilles surgery.
The 31-year-old Sweden international is scheduled to have his operation in Portugal on Friday.
"I have been struggling with this on and off for some time and I've come to the point where it feels like surgery would help it," he said. "The recovery time is short so I hope to be back 100% some time after the New Year."

At leastwere in good stead in CB position now. Dawson is decent enough, and Between him, Mcauley and Olsson we should be fine.
