Bloody Murray. This is an epic defensive session with hopefully penalties to come.

Dig in lads.

I know it’s just a moan. But they should have been down to 10 before the end of the first half.

Oh well. Positives are we seem to have some great young talent

Lets be honest we never set out to win the game. It's a run out for the kids.

Quick recap - we take our top scorer off and Brighton bring their top scorer on.

I actually thought this was encouraging and maybe showed Darren that the young players we have are worth persisting with. To have the young players we did have on the pitch in extra time was terrific and I thought they did well. In the end, a combination of comical Albion defending (does anyone on the coaching staff take the defence in training?), inexperience and tiredness due to playing with ten men did for us. I know I slag him off but a big shout out for HRK, whom I thought did really well and showed the qualities he does have. Not sure how their number 9 stayed on the pitch after the elbow on Field, although it was hard for the referee to see it - he was five yards away and looking straight at it!

It's hard to moan really, as we had a young team out who did okay.

But really, some of the decisions by Moore were baffling...

Clean sheet at half time, then revert back to the dreaded 3 at the back which was absolute dross at the start of the season and concede 3. Okay, 2 were in extra time, but the problem of slow centre halfs being dragged into wide positions reared it's head again. I thought we had got past this nonsense.

Second half there's no centre forward, nobody getting into the box and zero goal threat. Despite looking decent first half. I honestly thought the best we could hope for then was 0-0 and penalties. Insanely we managed to score one of the flukiest goals I've ever seen to take it to extra time... But what did Moore have in mind when he reverted to this at half time? How did he ever think this side could score?

Subs baffling...

Rodriguez 45 mins... Dawson on and off for 45 mins... Neither looked injured, so what this a protection exercise?

If so, what a complete waste of subs in a 120 minute game. To have an entire extra time with no subs available - especially when the team are a bunch of kids plus Tyrone Mears, who is almost 36 and barely kicked a ball is ridiculous. As soon as Kanu got injured it was over, and I can't help feeling the subs were pre decided.

Good to see the kids getting a game though. Some looked useful, although the shape of the team was a mess.
