Not exactly a team blessed with any pace, wonder what Leko has to do to get a game in the absence of Murphy, Montero and Phillips.

We're far to slow on the attack, letting them get settled before we get forward

We let Brighton walk up to the half way line before we think about a tackle, reminder we are the home side guys.

Actually playing with a bit of confidence just missing the atacking threat that Brighton are showing

Then Kanu with a beauty hits the bar

I’m not sure about our system out of possession. We’re leaving HRK and Rodriguez up and 3 men in front of our defence. Now this cramps the middle of the pitch but leaves us loose in wide areas and Brighton have had some joy doubling up against our full backs. If Harper has to drift to the right to cover Mears or if Field has to drift to the left to cover Townsend then a new gap opens in the middle.

For me I’d like to see us defend as a flat 442. Leave HRK and Rodriguez up, bring Harper to the right side, Livermore and Field central and Hoolahan on the left. That will give us more cover outwide and will force Brighton to either go around us with precise play or try to play through us.

Dawson for J Rod - baffling for me
Gone to his back three formation - it worked before and have learn't from it.

Rodriguez off, Dawson on. To me it now looks like:
Bond
Bartley - Dawson - Tosin
Mears - Livermore - Field - Townsend
Harper
Robson-Kanu - Hoolahan
