Blue, you’re an optimist (just like me). I hope with every finger crossed you’re correct and our key players stay fit. It’s the most hopeful I’ve been for many a year.

With a couple of last minute back up players joining its looking good for us. I can't see which team is any better. Certainly not dirty Leeds and they're still favourites to win the league. I'm thinking we have pushed the boat out for a promotion push rather then a survival plan. COYB.

It's all going well and we are getting stronger. We have a great bench and I'm not complaining they aren't getting a game. Keep the momentum going and we will soon be out of sight.

You've got to take your hat off to CC haven't you?
Faced with VERY little in the way of funds - indeed, having to balance the books by selling the big earners - he has this summer brought in so many unknowns (to me anyway) and somehow, here we are - top of the table!
I'm sure we realise that it's early days - we probably won't be able to sustain this form, but when you remember that, not many weeks ago, loads of us were expecting a relegation battle, it's a sensational turnaround!
CC has got to be seen as our most prized asset atm; the problem is obviously keeping him here when the Premiership Manager Merry-go-round starts in a week or two
Hopefully our new owner has given him enough assurances to convince him that he belongs

Absolutely, do you think it is a little to early to say, "Well top of the league, its in our own hands now don't lose and it impossible for anyone to catch us".

Worryingly, I've just read that there's a £2m release clause in CC's contract.
Hoping that the article is a load of rubbish:

£2m??! That's peanuts!

Strangely after the Leeds game I had to travel up to Chesterfield and was chatting to some older Leeds fans on the train they were saying that their current manager would be gone inside 3 months and people they knew inside the club were saying CC was easily the number one replacement choice as it was felt he should never have been let go in the first place and given the job at the time. The also said while everyone would have him in a heartbeat, they were not so sure he would even want to go back.

The transfer window is soon to be open and instead of players the most critical recruit is a manager.
I have no idea how connected a manager and player recruitment is and so maybe Cc’d departure makes no difference to January’s activities?

I’m very worried at this moment in time!!
No manager, team not playing well and haven’t for some time, vultures circling over our better players, still under financial constraints, I just don’t see any real positives right now.
That said I do have some faith in the owner but he won’t be able to hang on to the likes Fellows when the big bucks are offered, and it probably doesn’t need to be really big bucks either.
We need a manager / head coach ASAP and one who can galvanize the squad we’ve got, convince the better players to stay and get a couple of good signings in January. (Not asking for much eh)
