For the first time in my life I was Red Carded which is a queue jumper as they initially diagnosed Sepsis. Cant tell you a lot more as I have no bloody idea what happened. I was hallucinating and delirious (typical Spireite). Friday am I was more back to normal but with Sky high Temperature. Antibiotic on drip did the trick but they wouldnt let me out for the match because my temps were still high. Finally diagnoses was UTI infection. Came out about 1 today. Not a pleasant experience.

Few teams around the lower playoff positions suddenly have lost form. I know its a tall order but I have to be optimistic.

Get well soon.

We could do with Barnet beating Dagenham and Ebbsfleet getting a draw or a win away at Maidenhead on Tuesday. Next Saturday we could do with Barrow beating Dagenham and Woking getting a draw or a win against Maidenhead and then we would need to win our game the following Tuesday at home to Harrogate which will be tough as Harrogate are in good form.

Makes you wonder if the magic 50 will be enough to stay up if 4 go down and not 3.

It looks like Chorley and AFC Fylde will go down and the 2022 goal for Fylde looks impossible now.

I wonder what Jim Bentley is doing with Fylde. He kept Morecambe up single-handedly for years! He is leaving Kosylo on the bench. Two seasons back he was the best player in the National League and Championship teams were lining up bids which never happened. Fylde grabbed him from Halifax, which I thought was the bargain of the century …. and he has hardly got a full game.

If we stay up, and Fylde are re-grouping we should grab him. He isn't old or on the way down. Something is up obviously, but he is genuinely talented, and Pembo does seem to like his players being the best they can. He doesn't want to make them something they're not! They might suit each other.

The trouble with our league is that 5 of the top 7 would struggle with promotion financially, or in Harrogate's case the pitch! Down in 12th place Barnet must be wondering if Saturday's game in the FA Trophy against Halesowen is worth winning, in the league they have three games in hand and could easily reach the play-offs. Boreham Wood are the form team, but even the influx of travelling Yeovil fans only took Saturday's crowd to 1,040. Yet the signing of Matt Rhead suggests they are aiming for promotion as they already have Tyrone Marsh and my man Tshimanga supported by Mingoia.

I don't really see any option but to relegate just three teams. The EFL have expelled Bury and the supporters' new AFC Bury are applying to start well down the pyramid. Financially the old Bury don't seem to have anyone willing or able to resurrect them, so surely must be declared dead. I'd still like to see Ebbsfleet and Maidenhead play a draw, then Stockport beat Ebbsfleet and Woking beat Maidenhead to put us two points behind with a game in hand.

As for your illness Dancing ……. well-recovered. I can tell you that if my niece, who is a Consultant Heart Specialist, had a patient suddenly displaying your symptoms the first thing she would test for is a urinary tract infection. So have confidence.

Quite how the medical profession can tell when a Spireite is delirious is another matter entirely.

Results this weekend have gone all our way. Harrogate played 120 minutes against Fylde in the FA trophy so they should be tired on Tuesday. With having 10 days off after the last game we should be fresh and up for the game, a win will get us out of the relegation zone and move us as high as 17th and win next Saturday against Chorley as well and we could be on the verge of a mid-table finish.

A lot of ifs, buts and maybes in there though, Matt. Knowing us of old, I wouldn`t be at all surprised if we beat Harrogate on Tuesday and then lost - or at least dropped points - at Chorley on Saturday. (I think I might go to that, by the way.)

As it happens, though, I`m inclined to agree with you - I can see us finishing close to mid-table at the end of the day. I get the feeling that the the curve is definitely turning upwards.

Chorley only £12 for OAP's SGB Smile . I was thinking of making the trip myself.

Good to know that you`re feeling up to another shot of masochism, Dancing; you must definitely be on the mend. Don`t envy you the experience, though, and it`s great that you seem to be getting over it. I agree with Dev that you`d be very much missed (I haven`t said much of late, for various reasons that I won`t inflict on anybody else, but I`ve still been watching and listening.).

Yes, I`d noticed the concessionary prices for wrinklies as well; seems very reasonable to me. I`ll probably drop the car off at laddo`s and get the train from Newtown so I can have a couple of pints before the game. His Lordship is busy with other things but I`ve been given a permit to use his drive and the missus has said she`ll pick me up from the station when I get back. According to the satnav and the train timetables, the journey time is about the same, so why not? Live life on the razor`s edge!

Apparently, the ground is only about half a mile from the station; anybody know any decent pubs in the vicinity?

Change at Stockport?

Either Stockport or Piccadilly, Matt; it depends on which train I catch - which, in turn, depends on how much supping time I want to allow myself before the game. (That`s a polite way of saying it depends how pissed I`ll feel the need to get in order to numb another 90 minutes`pain. You can see I`m feeling positive about the game, can`t you.)

By the way, I read what you said about the coronavirus cases in Buxton; that`s interesting and potentially beneficial - for us, anyway. We might well be moving to Buxton in the next few months, so a drop in house prices in the area may well be useful. There`s nothing like mercenary self-interest, is there? Luvvly jubbly.

I've thought about going as it's only 2 trains, a Stockport fan I know said that the ground is literally in a park, I suppose with it being called Victory Park it makes sense.

Only 2 cases mind. It is a little worrying when you live less than 10 miles from Buxton.

Oh Salts, Buxton is a place I like. Opera House designed by Frank Matcham an' all. But it gave me some of my coldest football matches. Maybe Whaley Bridge was worse. I'd thought about Buxton in my moving plans but the Matlock area might be less exposed 'n' if it had to be town I still fancy a little cottage in Holymoorside. Maybe I could take up pottery and become even more eccentric.

The clash between us and Harrogate is between two of the division's currently successful teams! They've got Lloyd Kerry though and as an ex-Spire he's bound to score.

If Chorley go down and we stay up …… IF!!!!! Shouldn't we grab Meppen-Walter from them? Take a look at him.
