I can't help thinking that even though he slowed down as he got older he was the glue that held our defence together. It was noticeable how much better Lees played when he had Loovens next to him!! As Imre has said multiple times, Lees is not a leader, Loovens was and that is what we need to get the best out of Lees, if we ever get out of this embargo we should be looking for a Mick Lyons type leader to bring our younger defenders on and lead the team.

Substitutes: Dawson, Jones, Nuhiu, O’Grady, Kirby, Lee, Penney

Surprised by that team in some areas, wouldn't have played Bannan, Reach or Lees. I can see him giving gametime to the likes of Matias and Fletcher who are coming back from injury and the rest is squad players as we expected.

I think gifted is a bit harsh on Matias!! He did well to chase the ball and hassle their defender before nicking the ball off him and finishing well.
