LAST MATCH
First home game of the season, disjointed first half, better in the 2nd half, but missed chances, particularly Fletcher and we end up with just a point. There was no Palmer or Van Aken thank god and Hutch moved back to CB, with Fox at LWB and Reach into CM. Baker did alright at RWB but I fear Palmer will be back
THE MATCH
So we have to travel up to the North East on a Thursday just to satisfy the TV gods, everybody else plays Tuesday. Might aswell play a bunch of kids as we have a harder game on on Sunday when Brentford will give us a right thrashing. I expect both teams will make a bunch of changes

Yep its pretty simple play the first team and lose no point in playing the kids and winning and then picking up injuries as we will be stuck with the first team
Id stick Van acken in goal i think he could have potential there

I thought the restriction on what players you used were for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, not the league cup?? Some Prem teams in previous years have played full reserve sides, albeit good players, so unless there is a new rule I would hope to see everyone who was on the bench against Hull get a game, maybe one or two of the first 11 and a few kids to fill the rest of the team. Keep some of the first 11 on the bench but only play them if we have to.

Thank f'uck I've got an 186.3 mile drive to Harry Plopper land
lined up after work on Thursday Overnight stay in Watford, Harry Plopper on Friday then back to our young'uns in Northampton and then driving home Sunday during the Brentford rape
