Am I bovvered?

Do you guys really think that you are disliked?? I don't remember hearing or reading anything that would suggest neutral fans dislike WBA, with or without TP in charge!! Now of course I come from a club that has some of the same heroes (Big Ron, Gary Megson) and villains (Colin, the Blunts) so maybe as i spend most of my time reading articles about us the "dislike" of WBA just hasn't reached S6 yet!!

You all know BaggieMan's feelings about Pulis.

I've been banging on about him since the first ugly rumour of his appointment.
At that time I labelled him 'the anti-Christ' of football and that is exactly what he will remain apart from the occasional short burst of entertaining football which is what he did at Palace and never at Stoke.

All he does is tell us what "a smashing bunch of lads" we've got and they work ever so  'ard"

Yes I am very bovvered. I love wearing my Albion top. People used to comment with 'Boing Boing' etc especially when abroad or elsewhere in the U.K but now all I get is how can you watch that rubbish etc. And do you actually like a Pulis?

It's embarrassing and yes TP has done a good job but I honestly don't care if you slate me BUT he has to go in order for us to get a manager in who wants to play attacking football and who can attract players and change our image of being a negative defensive side.

WBA have always been known as an attacking side who like to play fast flowing football.... NOT ANYMORE

We are one of the most negative football teams in the Country, not just the Premier League. Relying on Corners to score. Since we got 40 PTS, the Arsenal game apart PULIS HAS REVERTED TO TYPE. I don't like the negative view of our Beloved club. It hurts

Backing up charlies post i dont think any Wednesday fan dislikes WBA not sure about the other half though Whistle and i think it is a pity that WBA and a bunch of other clubs have had to get managers who just do the job to stay in the premier league buts thats how it is these days we wish for the same as you but i dont think we know what we wish for Whistle i meen these days there isnt even a chance of winning a cup either Doh what is the point of it all Huh football is dead im glad i was born in the 70s and saw football for 3 decades before it did die Thumb down these days like someone mentioned on here i dont have any interest in any TV games and have not sat down to watch more than 2 minutes since about 7 years ago zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i watch Rugby Union to get my kicks how sad is that Sad

Going on with this theme, I yearn for the days of RDM! Even when we struggled he tried to get us to play, and had a great approach.
Thought he was a breath of fresh air - great personality and played the game in exactly the right way for us.
A great fit.

(Seems a million light years from where we are now) Cry

I feel heartened to hear Charlie's and Ollie's comments. (Not so confident about Blades's fans, though!) Perhaps I/we are getting over-sensitive because we'd feel the same after watching the Albion a few times.

The reason I posted the thread was to gauge opinion, 'cos some Firey Mousse types on another Board worship Pulis for keeping us in there, won't hear a word against him, and believe that being in the Prem is literally all that matters.
I actually, honestly, preferred the Championship days when every match was vital, and away support was phenomenal. And 7 games out of 10 I'd actually go home happier than when I set out. I would be just as happy and proud, though, if we maintained mid-table in the Prem, (with 1/2 the games being non-vital) if we'd only try and play some football. We have done it this season, and round about February I honestly thought it had finally dawned on Pulis that there was more than one way for little Albion to survive at this level, like Saints, Bournemouth, Palace etc have done.

Would I swop with Charlie and Imre??? It's 59 years since my 1st match, so the answer's NO. But my 4 games a season might dwindle.......

ps And if he DOES bring in John Terry ( as B'ham Mail think), at £5m pa, you watch those S/T sales dry up this summer.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Roberto Di Matteo is probably my favourite Head Coach/Manager that there has been at West Brom in my 15 years of supporting the club. (I only starting following football and West Brom when I was 10 years old) He had his faults but I supported him 100% from the start of his reign to the end and he always had a plan B and if something didn't work he would change it. He wouldn't do a Roy Hodgson or Tony Pulis of sticking with the same plan hoping it will eventually work. Der wahnsinn.

Unfortunately for him since leaving Chelsea he hasn't been able to find a club that he can build something with. At Schalke he was under immense pressure from the start to over-achieve with the club and suffered from injuries to best players and then failed at Aston Villa.

If he was ever inclined to want to come back to the Albion, I would definitely have him back.

You see this is the bit i'm opposed to with some of us on here
Why would you want anyone like for example Di Matteo, Mowbary, etc
Do you all want to get relegated ?
We all went mad for Tim Sherwood , look what his expansive Football did at Villa,

If we get rid of Pulis it will be the biggest decision the club has made since god knows when,
If we sacked him I would expect a manager with a real track record, a name that would say...... WOW
I'm not opposed to getting rid of Pulis
But ......... be careful what you wish for Doh

We could end up with less points than the Villa last year or less hair than Josh and yet that is nigh impossible Laugh

I get what you're saying Beefy. I've been behind TP all the way through.....until the last few weeks. There's just no reason for him to not try and PLAY - to go forward, to take a risk or 2, to try different formations, to bring in the youngsters - as we were safe, and playing those teams around (below) us. But no.
IMO this has really shown us what he's about - completely entrenched in negativity.
I hope I'm wrong, but what promising, inventive, positive player would want to sign for us the way we are now?

I would honestly rather see us struggle a sight more - yes, even go down - but have a bloody GO at the opposition, instead of retreating and surrendering the way we do right now.
