First half against Falkirk was actually better performance but the early goal settled us and the second before half time sealed it really.

Could have had 6 or 7 but queens keeper played really well. The team has a solid shape to it,just need to keep finding the right blend up front. This week graham came in for holt and did good.

Next up tannadice, and a tough game awaits. First competent reffing performance of the season to boot.

Bitter cold!

Missed a definate penalty for us in the second half SCO. Whistle

Boyle should have had 5. Doh

Good news Dundee United dropped 2 points so onto their place and the possibility of opening up a 6 point gap. Thumb up

Aye i missed that one newhaven, need to see it again.

Shinnie was good the day,his fitness is getting there and he is starting to show his quality. He's got good feet and passes it well, just needs to make the better choice sometimes.

Apparently keatings will miss next week but should be back fit the following game.

Hibernian manager Neil Lennon: "It was one of the best performances in my time as a manager. I thought we were awesome today. It could have been five at half-time. We never took our foot off the pedal. Some of our attacking play was outstanding. We looked a very very good side today. We looked strong, we looked quick, we looked hungry, everything you want as a manager.

"I think we got what we deserved. I think Martin Boyle could have had four before half-time. It was a wee test of his character. He could have sat in the dressing room at half time and felt sorry for himself but he came out and scored a great goal.

"That is the benchmark now. I asked them in the dressing room Can you live up to that? We have been playing well now for some time but nobody wants to listen. I think anyone here today could see we are a good side."

A great result and a very good performance. As said previously, the early goal settled us and what a difference eh! We've enhanced our position at the top of the Championship, we've improved our GD and no goals conceded - happy days and a nice little 'appetiser' before we head for Tannadice on Friday night with a huge Hibs away support heading north and sensing this could be a pivotal moment in Hibs league campaign although there's still a 'long way to go'.

And on another positive note super John McGinn gets about a 10 day break to rest his injury just reading on hibs web Neil Lennon wants him to play at tannadice next Friday before he considers going under the knive.

Thankfully Hibs are well covered in the mid area. So there are other options for Lenny to use and minimise the impact of losing John Mac.

The manager bemoaning again the lack of wide options he has in the squad. I don't think harris is particularly up to the challenge either.

Maybe the GMS loan rumour might be true.
